My pieces have been exhibited and sold through the Burchfield Penny Arts Center, The Albright-Knox Art Gallery and the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester NY.
The majority of my work and projects over 30 plus years have been custom fabrications.
Every piece is made with recycled metals and materials. The gemstones and semiprecious stones are not. All of my packaging and gift wrapping are also recycled products.
Each piece I make is an individual; never reproduced, signed, numbered and catalogued. Only on rare occasion do I do limited editions.
My pieces are hand wrought and hand fabricated. I describe my works as an eclectic otherworldly architectonic environmentally influenced style.
My studio is in my home, I am a one person operation. I started silversmithing in the venue of hand fabrication and hand wrought.
In my travels throughout the world, the environment, both manmade and natural have had an impact on my lifestyle, philosophy design work and profession. The word eyemagination comes from the fact I am a very visual person and see very differently. What most people see as waste I use as my raw materials and is a component of each piece. From mine tailings to scrap wood saved from the fire, discarded flatware and most important to support the use of reclaim reuse recycle repurpose.
Most of the stones I use I have mined when my travels allow. The black coral I use; I dove myself back in the early 70’s when I was a yacht captain in the Caribbean. All but the faceted stones I have cut and polished myself.
This work has always been my constant joy and pleasure. There is a hope that you too will see something in these pieces that will take you to a place if only in your own eyemagination to connect you with the place in which you dwell.
