About

If you love fabric, don't work in a fabric store.

I did, for five years, and I kept re-investing half my paycheck back into the company. It's just too intoxicating, being around such beautiful merchandise for 30 or 40 hours a week. You'd think you would get used to it, and it wouldn't have such a dramatic effect on you anymore, but no...I'm afraid the opposite is true.

Every time the loading bay door opened and a truck backed up to the dock, I would rush over and practically jump up and down with glee as the new boxes of fabrics were unloaded. And then I'd get to work, ripping into those cardboard treasure chests with boundless avarice, ooh-ing and aah-ing over everything inside.

It was all too much. My basement overflowed with pretty things I had bought with my over-used staff discount. One day I woke up and realized, "There is no way I can possibly sew all this up into usable goodies, not even if I reture today and sew every day for the rest of my life."

So I changed jobs and opened a fabric store on Etsy. :) I've pared my stash down by about 5%, and I've learned my lesson.

Fabric junkie doing penance for over-buying. I think we've all been there at least once.

Shipping
CANADIAN CUSTOMERS: The shipping price quoted in this listing is for OTHER LETTERMAIL (Non-standard and Oversize) envelopes. A maximum of FOUR (4) fat quarters of quilting cotton can be shipped in one oversize envelope. Larger orders must be quoted as a parcel--convo me for details. If multiple items are ordered and the cost of shipping them in one box is more than shipping them in two or more envelopes (don't think it can't happen!) you can choose to pay the lower price for multiple envelopes. Either way, I'll be happy to set up a reserved listing for large orders.

U.S CUSTOMERS: As of January 14, 2013, the SMALL PACKET (Surface) shipping option is no longer available. The shipping price quoted in this listing is for OTHER LETTER-POST (Non-standard and Oversize) envelopes. A maximum of FOUR (4) fat quarters of quilting cotton can be shipped in one oversize envelope. Larger orders can be shipped either as SMALL PACKET (Air) starting at $8.00 (no tracking number) or as the new TRACKED PACKET (with tracking number) starting at $17.00. Please convo me if you would like the new Tracked Packet service.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: The shipping price quoted in this listing is for OTHER LETTER-POST (Non-standard and Oversize) envelopes. A maximum of FOUR (4) fat quarters of quilting cotton can be shipped in one oversize envelope. Larger orders can be shipped either as SMALL PACKET (Air) starting at $10.00 , or SMALL PACKET (Surface - 4 to 6 weeks) starting at $7.50. Adding a tracking number can be done at an additional cost--please convo me for a quote.

Refunds and Exchanges
Lost items are sometimes one of a kind and cannot be replaced. In the event that we are unable to negotiate a replacement item of equal value, a refund will be issued. Dissatisfied with your item? Return it in the same condition within 30 days for a full refund. (International customers: The 30-rule may be bent a little should you choose to return your item via surface mail, as this can take up to 6 weeks by ship.) You will be responsible for paying return postage.
Additional policies and FAQs
Trying to match a fabric you already have but need more of? If it's a print, send me a photo and I'll see what I can do. If it's a solid color, I would need you to mail me a scrap of it to shop with, or (Canadian customers only) go to Canadian Tire and pick out a paint chip that matches your fabric, and I'll pick up the same chip in my neighborhood and shop around with that. Sometimes I don't get into town where the fabric stores are for two weeks, though, so I can't promise miracles. ;)
