W are BACK yet again after catching up on all orders. We are setting our lead at 1 - 3 business days for now, but that is subject to change depending on the volume of orders. Refer to the “Ready to ship in” field in the listings for any updates on lead times as they will change. We are still operating with limited staff, so please give us extra time to respond to messages.

With our reduced staff, we may not be able to answer messages timely. Currently, we are not taking phone orders so that we can dedicate our time to processing orders. We may soon need to do another temporary shut down in order to catch up on a rapidly increasing backlog of orders. And...please note this doesn't mean we are taking a vacation. We are working 12 - 16 hour days 7 days a week to keep orders moving for you.

We are prioritizing orders as follows:
1. Those who have purchased the “Rush my Order” option at a cost of $7.95.
2. Those making face masks. Please leave a message in the “notes” section of your order indicating this.
3. Express mail and upgraded Priority mail orders.
4. Regular Priority and 1st Class mail.
5. Large Fat Quarter orders (which take time) are lowest priority and may be 1-2 days beyond our stated processing times

We will do our best to make address changes, but we can’t promise multiple orders will be combined. If you need to add additional items to your order, you will need to place another order.

PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT US TO SOLVE USPS PROBLEMS WITH LATE DELIVERIES. They are also overwhelmed by increased shipments, and we don't have any control over this. Our shop policies clearly state this.

Our “Have TOO many Jobs story”
This Iis a story of hard work and taking directions you never quite expected in the beginning. Right now we have a brick and mortar store in Goshen, Indiana, an Etsy store, a website, and continue to evolve our fabric software to go along with coordinating websites and instore items. We have another Etsy store (MiladyCreations) which is now waiting for some more time!
FabricUtopia was our original Etsy shop we started in late 2010. Sandy was making handbags and getting many, many compliments on them. We opened our Etsy shop and stocked it with a few items. Then reality struck and we were hit with a cease order because the name of our shop, MyLadyBags was trademarked. We switched the shops name to Zimpro (our company name) The shop became “dead” and never had revenue. A new Etsy shop was born called MiladyCreations carrying handbags. The old shop became a testing ground for a new Etsy program called Zetsy. This was born out of hand changing tags for a Thanksgiving Sale on MiladyCreations., Chris said there HAD to be a better way. Those first steps in changing became Zetsy. MiladyCreations evolved a bit as we discovered that custom Christmas items had a lot appeal. Each year that shop grew in sales. At the same time the functions of Zetsy grew with it.

MiladyCreations had peak sales in 2015. It was the year before, 2014, that Chris had an idea that haunts him now. We were struggling to find enough fabric for our Christmas sales and buying at full retail at local shops. His idea was buying bolts of fabric and putting them on sale at our “dead” Etsy shop. Our “dead” Etsy shop had its first sales in early 2015 with some left-over Christmas fabrics we had. We bought a few more new bolts of fabric – and sold them. What do you do when sell things? Buy more!. . The “dead” shop and side business kept growing faster than MiladyCreations. In 2016 the shops name was switched to Fabric Utopia after many hours looking for a name that had a *.com and wasn;t trade-marked. (We do learn).
Fabric Utopia continued to grow and started taking over our house. MiladyCreations began to suffer because we could not do both. In 2017 we leased a retail shop and moved the fabric out of the house. There was fabric literally in almost every room! FabricUtopia continues to grow (Thank-you!) and we really don’t know where this is going. Zetsy continues to expand in its functionality and is running both the POS and the website.

Returns and exchange details
we will cancel an order as long as it has not laready been prepared for mailing. We offer quick shipping, so please cancel an order as soon as possible. As cancellations cost us Etsy listing ffes we reserve the right to retain upto $1.00 as a restocking fee for cacncellations and returns which are occurring at the customer request..

It is very important to me that you are happy with your purchase. Please don't hesitate to contact me prior to your purchase with as many questions or concerns you may have.
If you have concerns after receiving your item lease let me know within 5 days of delivery of your purchase. Returns are accepted but you will be responsible for the return shipping. We will refund the fabric cost upon receipt of the fabric in good condition. Shipping fees are not refunded.

We take pride in selling the best quality fabric we can find through our vendors. We know that computer monitors can affect the picture of the fabric. We take every effort in showing you pictures from the manufacturer directly, or we will make note if the picture is just slightly off from the manufacturer.

If you have a question prior to ordering fabric we are always happy to discuss your concerns.

Payment
Preferred payment is PayPal or Etsy Direct Payment but I also accept money orders. No personal checks please. Should you opt to pay with money order please notify me within 3 business days of purchase. Payment must clear prior to shipping.
Shipping
We will ship your item via USPS. Your item will be shipped within 1-2 business days (nearly always within 24 hours of the order) of your payment clearing unless otherwise noted.

◘ Shipping Cost. We offer First Class shipping on all small orders for the lowest possible cost. We offer free shipping for all domestic orders greater than $35. If your trying to obtain free shipping and our a little short we have fat quarters and clearance items that can be lower than $2.00 You may want to consider this for your lowest cost. The cost to us of lolwering free shipping below this is prohibitive as we strive to have the lowest overall cost to our customers. Note that free shipping is usally Priority but when near the limit it may be shipped at our lowest shipping alternative. You can choose the shipping tyhpe at checkout. Note that while first class shipping is the lowest cost there is NO insurance on package delivery. WE REFUND SHIPPING CHARGES when combining orders. It is always helpful if you have purchased multiple orders to let us know – just in case we might miss it.

◘ USPS Tracking & Delivery Confirmation are provided for all domestic packages. You will receive an email from us when the shipment occurs AND when the shipment is delivered. The delivery notice should state where it was delivered

◘ ORDERS will ship to the Etsy address by default. If there's a discrepancy you should leave a note at check out to avoid any confusion or possible shipping delays. If you'd like your order shipped elsewhere, please provide the address in the "Note to Seller" section at check-out.

◘ RETURNED MAIL
If your package is returned to us because of delivery issues (wrong address or unable to forward, for example) we will send you a convo to let you know we have received it. We will ask for a corrected/updated address and include an invoice for you to pay for additional shipping. If we don't hear from you within 7 days we will cancel the order and refund the cost of the fabric. We are not responsible for returning the original postage, as we paid the postage to have it sent out to the address you provided.

◘ LOST PACKAGES
It's unfortunate, but it seems to be increasing. We cannot control the USPS and once your package leaves our hands we have no control. If they lose your package we will do what we can to help you deal with the Post Office *see FAQ). PLEASE NOTE : They do not guarantee First Class mail and will only offer to do a search for those items. We recommend adding insurance to your order or upgrading to Priority Mail. U While you will save money up front, WE DO NOT REFUND OR RE-SHIP fabric for lost or wrongly delivered orders due to USPS errors. We DO offer insurance for a small additional fee

Priority Mail packages are insured, and we will help you file a claim and get reimbursed or replacement fabric. After 15 days we are able to file an insurance claim. After the insurance claim is filed it takes up to 10 days to receive a refund. We will work with you to quickly complete this entire process so you receive your refund as quickly as possible. Pictures of packages ae extremely helpful if they have been opend and damaged.

◘ U.S CUSTOMER SPECIFICS

USPS first class and priority shipments include tracking and delivery confirmation.
USPS priority flat-rate envelopes and boxes include insurance for up to $100 for the value of your purchase.

USPS first class shipments are NOT insured and are at the buyers risk.
USPS priority shipments-if the value of your purchase (not including shipping) exceeds the above amounts and you wish to protect the full value of your items, you will need to purchase insurance.

BUYER ASSUMES RISK FOR LOSS AND DAMAGE DURING SHIPMENT FOR ALL UNINSURED PURCHASES. We can only be responsible for your order up to the point that I hand your package over to the post office. Once it is in the hands of the USPS, I cannot control how quickly you receive your package, damage from handling/ processing, lost packages.


◘ INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE TAKE NOTE
International regulations require that the value of your item is declared on all customs forms, and some countries may charge a customs fee upon receipt of your package based on the item's value. Import duties, taxes and charges are NOT included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.

Fabric utopiae is unable to mark orders as "gifts" or change the dollar amount of orders on customs forms. A package can only be considered a gift if it is in fact a gift from the sender where no money has changed hands. Forging a customs document is against the law and can result in a fine and jail time for the forger.

◘ INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS - By placing an order with me, you agree to assume all responsibility for your package & its contents once it leaves my hands. We do run adress verification software on all international orders, but this is sometimes less than perfact. Fabric utopia will provide USPS tracking information. However, please be aware that once your package has left the US, tracking may not be updated for Fiirst-Class International Packages, Priority Mail Flat Rate International Envelopes or Priority Mail International Small Flat Rate Boxes are ineligible for insurance services. Full, detailed tracking services are only provided for Priority Mail Flat Rate International Medium + Large Boxes & Priority Mail Express International packages. The buyer is responsible for any & all taxes, import duties, charges &/or fees which may be incurred. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH MY ORDER!
While we try very hard to be perfect, we do occasionally make mistakes. Simply send us a convo letting us know what the problem is and we will do everything we can to fix the mistake. If there are issues with the fabric a picture is worth a lot.

WHAT IF I WANT TO ADD SOMETHING TO MY ALREADY PURCHASED ORDER?
Don’t worry if you forgot to add something to your shopping cart. Go ahead and place a second order. While our shipping system normally catches this (meaning you don’t have to do anything), it helps to send us a message to combine your orders. We will combine the order if possible and refund any excess shipping.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?
Fabric is cut "straight" according to the bolt, not necessarily to the design or print on the fabric. When your pattern calls for a specific cut always order a little extra to insure you can place the pattern in the best position. We are here to help you! If you aren't sure how much fabric to order based on a fabric and pattern please message us with your specific information and we will help. Note that we almost ALWAYS have an image with a ruler that can be used to detail the fabric. If you have a specific question, let us know and we can take additional pictures to send.


WHY IS YOUR PER YARD COST DIFFERENT DEPENDING UPON THE CUT SELECTION?
Etsy places a flat rate charge on us per item – the smaller the cut the greater this percentage becomes. We also adjust higher fabric yardage to compensate for increased shipping cost of the higher weights. In the end, the per yard cost is about the same.

IS THERE MORE OF THE FABRIC I WANT?
We don't always list our total available yardage online. Please convo with the fabric and yardage you're looking for and we will get back ASAP, usually the same day, to let you know if we have what you need. Please DO NOT order the same fabric from our store web site, it is all coming out of the same stock and is not updated automatically.

WHEN WILL YOU SHIP MY ORDER?
We often ship orders the Same Day. If the mail has already left for the day we within 1 Business Day, except for holidays. Weekend orders are shipped on non-holiday Mondays.

HOW DO I ORDER MULTIPLE YARDS OF A FABRIC?
We cut fabric orders of more than 1 yard as one continuous piece, unless asked not to. If you would like 3 yards for example, select "YARDS" from the "Fabric Cut" Drop Down Menu and then select "3" from the "QUANTITY" Drop Down menu and add to cart. We automatically send one continuous piece of fabric 3 yards long. Shipping overages will be refunded.

HOW ARE PANELS SHIPPED?
All panels are pre-cut to size. If you order 2 panels you will receive one continuous piece of fabric.

WHAT IF THE FABRIC I PURCHASE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE?
We work very hard to keep the online inventory in line with our in-store qnd web site inventory. Sometimes an item will sell out and be purchased on Etsy before we can adjust the inventory online. In this case we will either convo for instructions or refund, or both. We sure hope and try to not have this happen!

ARE YOU A REAL STORE?
Since October 2017, the answer is yes. The picture on our cover page is real (no fake news here !) The fabric bolts came out of our house and into a retail location in Elkhart, Indiana. In May 2019 we moved the store location a much larger fabric wharehous concept which contains even more fabrioc. please stop in and see our store. Google maps will get you right there.

ARE YOUR FABRICS AVAILABLE IN FLANNEL?
Yes – but these are stated as such.
