I set out to make my own wings the way I thought they should look about 20 years ago...

Making them only for myself at first until I kept getting asked "do you sell them? because you should, and I want some!" Working in different media my craft has progressed by trying this or that, making changes in method and technique when needed. 20 years was a while ago and my wings are better now than they have ever been and keep getting better. I strive with every set of wings I make for originality, beauty, comfort and function, to make them as much a real part of the wearer as possible. For we all had wings long ago, and in my dreams I still do...

Now, another passion is costume creation ~ You need to become THAT character, what does your inner faery do? What does he or she like? How do they speak? What do they wear? I love to design full costumes to help the true faery, alter ego or character be revealed, right down to the smallest details, and I am always inspired by my customers deepest dreams!

☆Good day fellow Fae lover! Fae can be anything from sweet, mischievous creatures, to strong, valiant warriors, but all fae love beauty, happiness, a fine drink and other good things in this life. In this place you will find their handiwork everywhere. Everything I make is with care, creativity and a lot of faerie magick! Please don't hesitate to ask questions about items, special orders, shipping or any of my policies. ♡

☆All my items are made by hand and therefore are NEVER an exact replica of another previously made piece. These artistic differences make your piece an absolute original!

☆I offer repairs on wings and some of my other items but you must pay for shipping to me (unless you find me at a faire!). Lead times vary and prearrangement is necessary, Please contact me for more information.

☆If you have ANY questions about sizes, colors, etc. of any item you are expecting to order please convo me! I am VERY convo friendly and pride myself on making my customers happy the first time. Most of my customers are repeat customers and

☆Please contact me through Etsy Convo right away if there is a problem with your order so we can discuss and work out a solution as soon as possible - I am more than happy to make right a wrong as soon as I possibly can!

☆There are no refunds ~ Approved returns will receive store credit minus shipping and 10% restock fee. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer although I can send a label for the customer to print and subtract it from the return amount.
If the item is returned damaged when you did not recieve it damaged, such as from not packing it properly for return shipping, additional charges will be incurred depending on the amount of damage to the item. This could be anywhere from 25% - 100% of the original cost of the product.

☆I may do an even exchange on a case by case basis, for the cost of the merchandise only, shipping charges and any rush fees are not refundable and a restocking fee may apply.

☆For costume design or wing design (as for an entire wedding party etc.) I charge a design fee of $85 in which $50 is applied to the cost of the product once ordered. However, this entire fee is NON refundable if item is NOT purchased; furthermore any and all drawings / designs you receive remain the property and copyright of Faerieworks and may not be solicited to other designers.

☆Orders typically cannot be cancelled once purchased as time, energy, creativity, supplies and materials go into an item or idea the moment it is ordered. IF a cancellation is requested and approved, the $75 design fee is NOT refundable and any and all drawings / designs you receive digitally or otherwise remain the property and copyright of Faerieworks and may NOT be solicited to other designers.

☆SHIPPING:
We ship everything USPS - I find USPS to be completely reliable 99.5% of the time (look we can't all be perfect 100% of the time!) They have the most reasonable shipping times and prices, I have compared many times and for reliability, speed and price USPS can't be beat. If you insist on me using another carrier please convo ahead and I can get time and price estimates for you.

☆IF YOUR ITEM IS IN STOCK:
Your in stock purchase will be shipped within 1-3 business days of receiving your order. Your package tracking number will be supplied to you within your Etsy Shipping Notification which is delivered via email. Choose your shipping option from the drop down menu at checkout BEFORE you complete your purchase.

☆IF YOUR ITEM IS MADE TO ORDER:
Custom / Made to Order lead times may vary but are usually anywhere between 3- 6 weeks. My Shop announcement always has the latest information on lead time changes as it does vary by season and how booked I am at the moment. If you are placing an order for an item needed for an event or otherwise need it by a specific date - even if that date is within the stated lead time PLEASE enter it in the notes to seller box BEFORE you check out or CONVO ME and advise me of such date to ensure timely arrival. Choose your shipping option from the drop down menu at checkout BEFORE you submit your order.

☆RUSH ORDER INQUIRIES:
I do offer RUSH order options for an extra fees -Please convo ahead to see if I can indeed fit your rush in my schedule BEFORE you order. The faster you need it and the busier I am the higher a rush fee will be ~ PLEASE get your order in as soon as you possibly can to avoid needing a rush order!

☆HALLOWEEN COSTUME AND / OR WING ORDERS: Late summer into autumn is my busiest season!! Please see my shop announcement for special seasonal lead times, order information and rush fee info!!!***

☆DELIVERY:
I am not responsible for returned items because of non delivery / mis delivery. I ship to the address given to me to ship to. If your package is misdelivered because you gave the incorrect address or you are required to pick it up from the post office or customs and don't and your package is returned to me, you must contact me and pay additional postage to have your package reshipped. I may also add signature confirmation for apartment addresses, at my discretion or at the customers request.

☆$300+ PURCHASES
Signature confirmation may be included on items worth $300 or more at my discretion. This might require you to make a trip to the post office, but insures that your valuable purchase makes it into your hands. I will notify you before your item ships if I feel the need to add a signiture confirmation so you can appropriately plan for your package arrival.

☆GUARANTEED SHIPPING OPTION:
I have had extremely good luck with Priority arriving within 3 days across the continental US, but please understand that in some cases shipping times can be as long as 5-7 days. In the event that you need the item by a certain time, you may wish to upgrade to Express Shipping (the only USPS shipping option with guaranteed** delivery time), for an additional cost.
**Guarantee is through USPS - if your package does not reach it's destination by the date USPS specifies, I must file a claim IN PERSON with USPS to receive a refund. Once I get the refund I will refund the postage -minus handling fees*- to you.
*Handling fees are included in your shipping charges and vary per item - usually from .50 to $3 (depending on the size of the item - super large wings may be more) and covers overhead & packing time & supplies such as paper, tape, bubble wrap etc.

☆INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
International orders Have 3 shipping options:
1) USPS FIRST CLASS INTERNATIONAL which is the least expensive but has the longest ship time which varies by location.
2) USPS PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL, insured. Approximately 6-10 days to most locations. I have had good luck with Priority arriving within 2 weeks around the world, but please understand that in some cases shipping times can be as long as 4-6 weeks.
3) USPS PRIORITY EXPRESS INTERNATIONAL
Choose your shipping option from the drop down menu at checkout BEFORE you submit your order.
☆☆☆PLEASE NOTE: International customers are responsible for any duty fees incurred at customs in their country. In some countries, these can be as much as 25% of the item price, so please familiarize yourself with your country's duty fees, VAT, etc. Under no circumstances will a package be marked "gift" OR claimed for less than actual cost. Thank you for understanding.

☆PACKING MATERIALS AND PACKAGING:
Please know that I reuse/recycle shipping materials as much as possible. You are likely to have bubble wrap, packing pillows, filler paper and rarely packing peanuts (PLEASE recycle, reuse again!) This is not only better for the environment but also keeps handling fees lower.

Frequently asked questions
I will be wearing these wings at outdoor faires and festivals, What will happen to them if I get stuck in the rain - are they waterproof?

Some are more water proof than others - but for the most part - Yes! They are not going to fall apart if they get wet. I do include a care card with each set of wings I send out so you will know exactly how to care and store the wings you purchase. However, If you have questions about exactly how water proof a specific set of wings feel free to send a convo.

I love these wings but can I get them in a different color?

OF COURSE! If you want a specific color(s) on your wings just be sure to convo ahead or simply put your color requests in the "optional notes to seller" box BEFORE you submit your order.

I want wings that are different than anything I see listed in your shop currently, do you take custom orders?

I am now only accepting a certain number of custom orders per year. You may either send a convo or click on the "Request a custom order" link below any listing photos or on the shops main page and we can start a discussion.

I love these wings but they are for my 6 year old - can you make them in smaller sizes?

Yes, I do! I will have listings with different sizes and pricing soon but in the meantime feel free to send me a convo and I once I know exactly what you need I can set up a private listing for you.

I would love multiple sets of wings for my wedding party to wear, can you accept multiple wings orders?

Yes, I can! Please convo to determine if I can create your order in time for your event - ordering as early as possible is definitely better.

Do you take payments?

I absolutely do! Depending on your order size and number of payments there may be a service charge, Half of the total must be paid before I can put your order in my schedule and all payments must be complete before shipment. Please convo to discuss your needs!

Can you send me progress photos so I can see how my wings are coming along?

I am so happy you are so very excited to see and receive your wings! I don't usually do in progress photos because I am concentrating on creating your order and getting it out to you! I do take finished photos before I pack and ship but mostly only if they are something new I have created or a new color scheme. Usually, by the time I take a photo they are boxed and on their way to you within 24 - 48 hours. BUT.. if you would like a finished photo I will try to get it to you as soon as possible.

Why is your lead time so long? Why can't you just make them sooner? Why do I have to pay a "rush" fee to get them sooner?

Again, I am so happy you are excited to receive your wings! My lead time is a bit of a complicated process, at the moment I do just about everything myself! Most of the time my leadtime is 4-6 wks but varies according to how many orders I have. I am creating, packing, shipping, ordering supplies and scheduling orders ... In addition to running my business (and the hubs) I have house,kids, dogs, I like to eat and sometimes I sleep! What this means is you are in my schedule fairly close to your estimated ship date because there are other orders and stuff going on before your order. If you need them sooner I have to rearrange a lot of stuff and put you in front of orders that have been in my schedule while still getting them out when needed.
