About

Trish Grantz

Hi! My name is Trish and I am a momma to 4 sweet kiddos. I have loved creating things since I was a little girl. I am a “dreamer”, always thinking about new ideas and how I can bring them to life. I spent hours on projects for school and loved drawing, doodling, and designing in a notepad in my free time.

College took me in what I thought was a different direction and I became a teacher. Teaching elementary school surprised me by once again bringing out my creativity. Music, art, and dance became a regular part of the classroom whenever possible.

Eight years later, I got married to an amazing man and soon after began the baby years. The year after we were married, I became a stay at home mom and everything went on hold as I learned to navigate my new life. It was strange territory. I was a wife and a mom, but who was I, just me?

By the time baby number four arrived, I was happy and comfortable in my role as wife and mom. I loved it! Being a mom is a joy and a blessing! But something was missing. There was a little voice calling me to create. At first, I tried just doing little projects with my kiddos. Fun and always messy! They love creating too, and drawing, painting, and making crafts or “creations” as they call them, is a big part of life at our house. But something was still missing for me.

I started to pray about my own creativity. What can I create? What can be an outlet for me? Something separate from my wife/mom life. Something that’s just for me. God answered quickly, which I know isn’t always the case, but I was thankful for His quick, very specific answer. For my sister’s birthday, I had tried making some leather earrings that I had recently seen here and there. That was it! The process of brainstorming, drawing, and creating began. Since then, I’ve been creating leather jewelry that speaks to my heart. There is a lot of trial and error, but everything I put in my shop is thoughtfully made. I love the process of a new piece of leather becoming feather earrings, or a chevron necklace, or a little pair of studs. Sharing my work with others makes it all the more enjoyable. The best part is that God is in this whole process. Learning to listen to Him and letting him be my guide is sometimes hard, but always joy-filled. Creating with the Creator in the lead has brought me so much closer to Him and that is my ultimate goal.

Care instructions

Hey guys! Just want to share some leather jewelry info. I use all different types of leather, some thick, others thin, some stiff, others very soft. Not every piece of leather jewelry you receive will feel the same or even have the same grain texture. Many of the earrings will shed for awhile until they are worn several times. This is just from being cut and the shedding will not continue forever. The shape of your leather jewelry may change slightly from exposure to the elements, especially humid temperatures. Just gently bend them back into the desired shape with your thumb and index finger. This method has worked very well for me. Most importantly, do not get your leather jewelry wet!
