Wow, what a beautiful piece of art! She did such a great job making this and the wood is gorgeous!! First time I've order from fallenwalnut and so happy I did. Her mirrors are great and I even asked her if she made furniture but unfortunately for me, she doesn't. I highly recommend her to all......

About

Our Fallen Walnut Tree is Turned into Art!

Back a few year our huge walnut tree was knocked to the ground during a terrible storm. The tree was left spanning across the backyard with the tip of the tree touching the house. There were hundreds of walnuts all over the yard too. We were devastated to lose such a beautiful tree that stood majestically shading the backyard.

We cleared the yard, saving all the beautiful wood. The squirrels cleaned up all the walnuts. We started making things with the wood, to decorate the house. At the encouragement of others I opened my shop, Fallen Walnut, listing some of the items. I decided to narrow it down and offer only mirrors, and worked on my brand, keeping a similar look and feel. Things were selling so fast we started trending on Etsy, with a 6-8 week wait on orders!

Now that everyone in America owns a sunburst mirror, I'm developing some new artful decor items. Stay tuned for the next chapter of Fall Walnut!

Welcome to Fallen Walnut! It's named after a beautiful 50 year old tree had fallen down in my backyard during a horrendous storm! I'm making things from the fallen walnut tree! I also use reclaimed salvaged woods to make mirrors. I create all my own designs!!
Enjoy ;-)

Payment
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal.
Shipping
I make sure that you receive your order in perfect condition. I ship through FedEx Ground and USPS Parcel Post. Each package is fully insured.
I wrap each mirror in 4 layers of large bubblewrap, and secure it in a large box with additional packing materials! I track the shipment making sure you get your mirror. Much like a retail store, your order is guaranteed to arrive safely. There should be no problem with broken mirrors or loose pieces. If there ever is a problem, just send me a message and we'll take care of you.
If you live in a colder climate and your package it left out all day, let it warm up a little before unpacking it. Just open up the top and bottom.
Refunds and Exchanges
I shoot really detailed photos that accurately display my products. You need to really look at the photos and read the products' descriptions, checking sizes and colors before placing your order. A high level of craftsmanship goes into everything we make. Please check my customer feedback too. All sales are final!
Additional policies and FAQs
"Made to Order" means that the item will be made after you place your order, and will have the same look and feel as the one photographed! You will see "Made to Order" written in the items' titles, as well as in the products' description text. Be assured that each time I create a duplicate item I keep colors, size, textures, and design the same. I follow a set of design specifications that I have written to ensure tight design adherence. However, there will be very slight differences from piece to piece, which is a characteristic of buying handcrafted home decor!

We add hanging hardware to the back of each mirror. When you're ready to hang it up, make sure to use a picture hanging hook, not just a nail because it can't support the artwork. The mirrors weigh between 2-6 pounds each. When I hang up artwork, I attach a wall hook at eye level. I'm kind of tall, so that's a good placement for me. If you need to fill out the wall horizontally, consider adding candle sconces on both sides of the mirror. It looks best when it's not hung too high above a headboard or furniture, so it's anchored and not floating.

Clean wood with a dry paint brush to remove the dust, avoiding the mirror so it doesn't get scratched. Clean the mirror with a soft towel, buffing off the dust and fingerprints.
