Part of a gift and very well received - look forward to watching them grow!
Think green, sustainable living, and happy gardening!!!
So I opened my first Etsy shop (BeanyTink's Beautiful Treasures) a few years into teaching. FallingStarSeeds was opened shortly after I got married and relocated to Southern California! What a great place to garden and grow all sorts of goodies!
The idea first came to me when I saw bluebonnet seed bombs on my little sister's bookshelf. I had no idea what they were, not to mention what a "seed bomb" was at the time. They were such a novelty to me, so cute, and such a practical gift that I started to wonder if seeds would grow inside origami wishing stars.
I had to give it a try, so my first set of morning glories were grown from star seeds, then some tomato vines, and then beets, okra, and celery! After determining that sprouting was not impossible, I decided to share this new novel gift with the rest of the world!
Origami wishing stars are pretty well known, and needless to say people of all ages garden all over the world. I merely figured I would take the two and combine them into a new and improved seed bomb!
Happy gardening!!! <3

Hi, my name is Hsi Hou, pronounced "see ho". Yes, yes, unfortunately the pronunciation translation from Mandarin to English results in the butt of many a joke. Just remember, it's not "Land Ho!", it's "Hsi Hou!!!" ;) Welcome to my Etsy corner!

The best care is taken in ordering organic heirloom seeds if at all possible, and great care is taken in creating each star seed!
Additional policies and FAQs
If they are organic heirloom, they are labelled as such. All the vegetable seeds are in the least at least heirloom seeds, if not organic heirloom.
The same cannot be said about the flowers as many of the sellers of those seeds did not label them as such. There are some flower seeds that are organic, and if I purchased them as organic flower seeds, I labelled them as such on the listings. However, if it is not labelled as organic or heirloom information was not provided as to whether or not they were. I don't think the terms heirloom and organic are as popular among seeds of plants that aren't eaten, so information is usually pretty lacking in this area for flowers.
Heirloom classified seeds might not be organically grown, but they are unaltered genetically and therefore will produce plants from the harvested seeds.
I personally trust the descriptor "heirloom" more so than the descriptor "organic" as heirloom seeds would predate GMOs whereas GMO seeds can still be grown organically since "organic" is just a description as to how the seed/plant is grown. Ideally, the best seeds would be organic heirloom seeds!
Additionally, please be responsible and check to make sure you research the germination and growth needs for the seeds you purchase. It is also a good idea to check on habitat compatibility and follow guidelines regarding plants that may be considered invasive species in your area:
