I couldn't be happier with this necklace! So cute and great quality. The seller was amazing as well and tweaked it for me a little. Loved the product and the company. I will definitely purchase from her again.

Really simple and lovely design. I will look forward to wearing it.
Hi, my name is Lois and I thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me. I discovered Etsy a number of years ago when I was looking for something special for my daughter's birthday. One look and I was hooked. I loved the concept of handmade and vintage, and have been buying gifts for others (and myself) on Etsy ever since.
I opened my own shop in 2010, selling glass pendants with the kinds of images I have always loved. When I was a small girl, my grandparents had a book called "Tomtebobarnen" by the Swedish author Elsa Beskow. The title translated to "Children of the Forest." Even though I couldn't understand a word of the Swedish, I was transfixed for hours by the drawings which included ethereal älvor (Scandinavian elves) playing seesaw on a twig in the moonlight with little forest children wearing toadstool caps.
That book started my love affair with all sorts of similar illustrations. I’m particularly fond of work by Beatrix Potter, Ida Rentoul Outhwaite, Mary Cicely Barker, Molly Brett and Racey Helps. I love collecting vintage postcards of little dressed-up animals published by the Medici Society in London.
Through Etsy, I've learned lots about vintage rhinestones and resin cabochons (through the supply shops). I think they're just beautiful. I enjoy creating with them, as well as glass pendants, at a work table in our extended kitchen.
I've also learned about vintage jewelry through my years on Etsy. I think it's fun to find and collect bracelets, necklaces and earrings from years gone by.
I grew up in Connecticut and live here now with my beloved spouse of many years. I have a grown son, Justin, and a daughter, Becca, both of whom I love with all of my heart. I have recently become a grandmother for the first time and my grandson means the world to me.
Where does my shop name come from? Both of my grandfathers settled in Connecticut after immigrating here from Sweden in the mid-1920's. They married my grandmothers who were the daughters of Swedish immigrants. My maternal grandmother was named Agnes and she married my grandfather who was named Magnus. Magnus' sister lived in Sweden and was named Fanny. Guess who she married? That's right - Manny!
Thank you for your visit.
