Kia Ora and welcome to What The Frock, a small home business featuring hand-made garments for little people and grown ups. Everything made right here in Aotearoa from funky and vintage fabrics with an ethical philosophy. Arohanui (lots of love)......
Creating unique clothing from vintage and upcycled fabrics - a passion for slow fashion.
Clothing should not just be an expression of your unique self but should be produced as ethically as possible, and sourced from materials that keep our precious environment in mind. I am a fabric-aholic with an affinity for vintage, whenever possible I incorporate fabrics that are up-cycled or salvaged and use natural dyes. This results in an original garment, there are no clones. Scraps and remnants are hoarded for other projects.
I work from my home in New Zealand and source fabrics locally. This whole starship enterprise supports a green and ethical philosophy and results in original items for children and adults. Respecting the planet one garment at a time.

Frequently asked questions
Sizes are based on the average size range according to age. Please ask for measurements if you need more information.
Custom and personalized orders
I am happy to answer any query about customising a design or colour, or size for you. Because I often use vintage or salvaged fabrics I do not always have enough to make more items. You can send me your own fabric to have made up into an item if you wish.
Most of my items are bespoke. My personal philosophy doesn't include mass production therefore wholesale isn't really my bag.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Yep, I can gift wrap for you at no extra cost. Please let me know by convo if this is what you want.
Unless stated in the listing, garments are machine washable. All eco-dyed products should be hand washed and air dried in the shade.
