5 out of 5 starsThe planner is really great quality. I wanted something with a clean cover and the grey is nice and professional looking. The paper is substantial and there's a lot of space for errands and things to check off, which is appreciated because most standard planners don't have enough space. Thanks very much

5 out of 5 starsI love my new desk calendar! The quality is excellent and it arrived quickly. It’s a bit smaller than I anticipated but that’s on me - I didn’t look at the measurements; however, it’s no issue - I still love it and look forward to changing months over for new abstract artwork.

About FavoriteStory
Charming, quality paper goods worthy of the stories they keep.
Favorite Story is an illustration and design studio specializing in stationery, paper goods and gifts. We've come to believe:
~ work, in itself, is a beautiful thing.
~ we all have been given gifts. We owe it to each other to find those gifts and bring them forward.
~ in Team. If one of us hurts, we all suffer. None of us succeeds without each other.
~ it's better to keep a few things you love than a lot of things you like.
~ we always remember how people make us feel, so always be kind.
~ it feels good to do good. Even if it's hard.
Our studio is rooted in the pretty little town of Danville, California. We take pride in making our products in America and strive to always support our local businesses - suppliers, manufacturers and retailers - with our own business. We keep our environment in mind when sourcing papers, using recycled content and FSC Certified sources whenever possible.

What's the difference between your hard cover planners and your soft cover planners?
The soft cover planner has a cardstock cover with a 20ml poly overlay. The hard cover planner has a rigid 46pt chipboard cover and elastic closure. You have the option to add on a 20ml poly overlay to your hard cover planner if you wish.
In your planners, are your monthly spreads grouped together or interspersed with the weekly spreads?
My planners have the monthly spreads incorporated with the weekly spreads. So, you'll have a monthly spread, followed by the weekly spreads within that month. Then you'll have the next month's monthly spread, followed by that month's weekly spreads, etc.
How do you handle the last week of the month where the week bridges two months?
There are two common ways of handling them:
1. I choose to place the transition weeks in the month with the majority of days in that week. For example, in March 2018 there are 6 days in the final week so March 26 - April 1 is included in March's section because March has the majority of days in that transition week. April's first weekly planning spread begins on Monday, April 2.
2. Sometimes designers will include the final days of a month within the next month no matter how many days carry over - 1 day or even 6.
Both of these two methods are pretty common and each has its merits, but I follow the majority of days in deciding which month to place the transition weeks.
Why don't you put the weeks that bridge two months in both month's sections?
There are a couple of other ways of handling weeks that bridge two months:
3. I could repeat the weeks that transition between months in each month's section but people tend to find duplicate days truly confusing - missing appointments because they didn't realize they wrote it on one page but not on the duplicate page. So this is not a practice I would use.
4. And lastly, I could just leave partial weeks at the beginning and end of months but people prefer to have the full week in their weekly planning spreads. So this, too, is not a practice I use.
I hope that makes sense.
