About

Fearghal Blades

Fearghal Blades began in 2011. I wanted to pursue a non-traditional style of knifemaking that allowed me to explore the craft as an artistic and spiritual undertaking. I like the idea of imprinting intent and soul into something you make.

I was featured in Cracked.com's article: “6 Things Movies Get Wrong About Swords (An Inside Look)”. The article went viral, which led to an opportunity to compete in the show: Forged in Fire. I won the Chakram challenge on Season 1: Episode 2, and became a Forged in Fire Champion.

I frequent comic cons and trade shows as a vendor and panelist. Please come say hello if you see me out and about!

Fearghal Blades is also one of the shops that operate within the co-op of Friendly Neighborhood Bladesmiths in Austin, Texas, along with Southpaw Sharpening and Kottavei Blades.
