Welcome to Feather and Wax! My name is Julia, and I hope I can share my craft with you!
I started Feather and Wax because I felt there was a gap in the fragrance industry for sophisticated unisex fragrances. I've always been drawn to darker, more masculine fragrances, and felt many fragrance options were too powdery and/or floral for me.
I began experimenting with fragrances I liked, trying to balance out lighter florals with deep, earthy fragrances like sandalwood and amber. After lots of experimentation, No. 4 Scarab was the first fragrance I felt really great about.
I started trying to understand what fragrances my friends liked, and using that as inspiration to create more. No. 5 Wing was for my friend, Amelia. No. 17 Hatchet was for my friend, Nicole. No. 15 Vial was for my friend, Rebecca. No. 8 Moth was for me!
It wasn't long before people started asking me if I sold my candles anywhere, and I always said no, until one day a friend of a friend picked up one of my candles and asked if it was from Anthropologie! Confident that I had figured this out, I started my Etsy shop the next week, and it has been growing ever since!

Feather and Wax fragrances are totally unique. Each fragrance is a custom blend I've developed through lots of testing, trial, and error.
I use only the best oils to create beautiful, sophisticated unisex fragrances. I hope you love them as much as I do!
