The Feed Sack Store is dedicated to making the world a better place for humans and animals through recycling. We design and create handmade custom up-cycled products that are both functional and fashionable. The project was originally started by Cody Anne Johns while she was in high school. Being an avid 4-H member, she wanted to help make the world a better place. Although recycling feed sacks may be a small start, Cody has helped keep several hundred feed sacks from being sent to the land fills. Now a college student at the University of North Texas, her main goal for The Feed Sack Store is to help the world by recycling and encouraging others to do the same. To help others learn to recycle feed sacks, Cody has started publishing patterns on The Feed Sack Store’s website http://www.feedsackstore.com.

One of Cody’s main goals is to create a variety of products so that others can see the many different ways that feed sacks can be recycled. “The patterns on feed sacks are just so beautiful, I work hard to make sure that each product I make shows off the stunning images the feed sacks have to offer.”

Due to the inherent nature of upcycled and recycled feed sack materials, each handmade piece is unique. Subtle variations in the feed sack materials add character and charm which enhances the beauty and uniqueness of each piece.
