Announcement   So many people have asked how I arrived at my shop's name, so here it
is......art is my fetish; it's sustenance for my soul. In creating art,
I feed my fetish. Bon Appétit!

I've discovered oft times my income is secondary to the reward I
feel when I'm able to exceed my customer's expectations. I love what I do and am so pleased when chosen to design a special piece of jewelry, an Heirloom Teddy Bear, or any of the handcrafted items I offer at times.

The artist in me is constantly in awe of all of the tiny details included on a charm. These miniature replicas are actually a powerful tool of communication; broadcasting all that's important to us; our
hobbies, family, pets, work, play and achievements. Plus, my favorite color is SHINY!

When you gift a piece of my custom jewelry it says you know, love and treasure them, it means that you cared enough to be a part of the creative process. Many have told me that very fact adds a dimension to the piece, and that it will become an 'heirloom'....memories that jingle and sparkle. Please don't hesitate to inquire about ordering something made personally for you or your loved one.
I am a great listener and very intuitive; I want to hear what this bracelet will
represent. Your personal input is intrinsic to it's success. Join me in creating a piece of jewelry born in love and understanding...we can do it together!
I look forward with anticipation to helping you create that perfect, personal gift.

I encourage you to check out my feedback. I am blessed with a lot of repeat customers, many whom honor me with their friendship. You know who you are! Thank you for your support.

About

One door closes, another one opens...

"Just don't let me fall in love and get stuck here"..That was me to my brother, 7 yrs. ago. I was responding to his suggestion I rent a house across the street, in this very small rural Illinois town. Why? Just 7 weeks after a cancer diagnosis my fiance' died in my arms, on my brothers front porch. We were one of those rare couples who worked, played, and lived together, inseparable for 4 yrs. The finality of what had happened, I was not prepared for, and I was hitting a bottom.
As you've no doubt guessed, I did rent the house and began going through the motions of living to ease the minds of all who were concerned. Nights were something else entirely but it came around to Halloween, well known to be my favorite holiday. My sister in law, uncharacteristically stubborn, refused to leave my house until I went with her to the local party and there I met the man who would get me stuck in this town! While he is everything I thought I would never find again, the thought of living the rest of my life here in this small town...And then, 6 months after meeting my future husband, I broke my back. Once again, a complete lifestyle change to accommodate the limitations of my back. I began searching the internet for ways to work from home. I have always done a variety of arts and crafts and had been making a few bracelets, wearing them and getting compliments and questions about them. I was thinking about trying Ebay when I ran across Etsy and I immediately knew I wanted to set up a shop and make this my work. I was energized! but my husband, not so much. To his credit, in an effort to support me he agreed to be the sole bread winner for 6 months or so (until I came to my senses and got a REAL job, lol) He quietly endured my spending money, putting us paycheck to paycheck, buying beads and charms and chains and findings, promoting, and making a random sale here and there, making bracelets I had no buyers for. But, I was happier than he had ever known me to be and he commented on that one evening saying he liked knowing I was happy and knew it to be so by my humming. Christmas came right about the time my" trial period" (and then some) was over but suddenly I was busy, busy, busy and rather than die away to nothing after the holidays I was fortunate enough to have a custom order or two going steadily and before long I heard my husband mentioning that "people seemed to like those darn bracelets she makes" and he was reminding me in advance of the next holiday coming up and shouldn't I be getting stuff made now? He has done a complete turnaround despite himself. I hear bits and pieces back of comments he's made that sound a whole lot like he might be proud of me. I'm proud of him, I could not have done this without him. From my youth forward I've regretted not believing in myself enough to follow my dream of being a Graphic Artist. I always felt disappointment in the choices I had made on advice I felt obligated to follow. That's all gone now. Maybe now is the time I should be doing this, a time when I can truly appreciate what I get to do everyday when I wake up. I have made good friends here on Etsy, I never factored that in but what a great perk! So there you have it, the story of how my shop came to be..you'll understand why my story has no ending...smile!

Creativity is an essential part of who I am. I am a spastic artist with a short attention span, constantly pursuing new ideas. I've never met an art form I didn't like. I've always got at least 2, usually more projects vying for my attention.
