Seasonal felt patterns
About me: We (Jurre, Ilona, Emily & baby Mark) live in a small village in the Netherlands, called Tilburg. We live in a house with our dachshund Nomi, and 10 guinea pigs. Ever since I was a little girl I loved reading bedtime stories, folk and fairy tales. I used to draw fearless knights, pink princesses and big castles with rooftops as high as the clouds. As I grew older, I stopped crafting al together. I studied to become a teacher, bought a house and was very happy with the way life was turning out to be. But I missed the stories, the magic.
Twelf years ago I discovered working with felt and fell in love with the possibilities. With felt I could create the fairy tale characters I used to love so much. I love making nature or seasonal tables and felt is such a lovely material to work with.
After working with felt for serveral years and starting my own webshop in the Netherlands (called Atelier het Uilenhuis) where I sell patterns and DIY kits in Dutch, I wanted to share my handmade creations with a wider public and opened my own Etsy shop called FeltFolkDesigns.
