Designs are original with refined aesthetics that are modest whilst simultaneously celebrating the natural beauty of the materials and the intricate qualities of the accomplished craftsmanship. These are luxurious goods that place good design, considered functionality, quality materials and fine craftsmanship at the fore.

All work is individually handcrafted in the true sense of the word; all leatherwork components are manually marked out, hand-cut, handsewn and hand-finished by me with great care, time and attention to detail. I complete all work myself using tools from world-class toolmakers resulting in impressively precise leather goods and metalwork of extraordinary quality and character.

My handmade work recalls the, now largely bygone, values of traditional English craftsmanship when everyday objects would be ‘made’ rather than ‘manufactured’. This approach is increasingly rare and meaningful against the backdrop of today’s global marketplace of mass-produced goods and ‘minimum-quality for maximum-profit’ methodologies.

Every material and component that goes into making my products is carefully sourced and quality controlled by me to maintain a consistently high standard. I buy all of my leather from UK leather merchants and believe in supporting other small British businesses.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
I make every effort to ensure that the products that I sell are represented as accurately as possible both visually and through written descriptions of features and specifications. In order to reduce the likelihood of needing to return an item please contact me with any questions you might have prior to placing an order - I am always happy to clarify anything you are unsure about.

I put vast amounts of time and energy into making goods of the highest quality and providing a top level of service but mistakes can happen therefore if you have a problem get in touch and I will put it right.

Returns procedure

Items that have not been made to a customer's specifications can be returned in their original unused and resaleable condition along with all original packaging, tags and enclosed paperwork within 14 calendar days of the receipt of the order. Unless the product can be proved to be faulty, the buyer will be financially responsible for the safe return of any item using an appropriate insured postage service.

If you wish to return an item please email me with details of your order including your order number along with the reason for return - you will be contacted as soon as possible and emailed a printable return label with instructions. Refunds exclude original postage costs and will be issued to the same method used for the original payment upon safe receipt of the return.

Bespoke, custom or personalised products

In compliance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, unless the product can be proved to be faulty, I cannot accept returns of, or issue refunds on, any item that has been made to a customers specifications or which has been modified or personalised at the request of the customer. This includes products that have been made to a specific size, such as made-to-order belts.

Body piercing jewellery

For reasons of hygiene I am unable to accept returns of any body piercing jewellery such as earrings.

Further information

As an online seller trading from the United Kingdom I am bound by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and therefore my policies regarding returns, refunds and exemptions are in compliance with these guidelines.
Payment is handled by Etsy.
Dispatch Times for In-Stock Products:
Orders consisting only of 'in-stock' products will usually be processed and dispatched within 3 to 10 business days (Mon-Fri, excluding weekends and bank holidays).

Delivery and Postage:
All orders will be sent by a reliable and trackable postal or courier service using Royal Mail, UPS or Hermes as appropriate for size and value of the order.

Shipping prices based on geographic location are detailed under the 'delivery' heading on each product page.

Fenner Benedict can accept no liability for the delay of orders due to circumstances beyond my control including the delay of supplies or materials delivery to myself or delays as a result of postage / courier delays.

Orders may be split into two or more parcels on occasion.

Claims for lost parcels can only be made after the time specified in the terms of the courier or postal service used to send the parcel. A parcel cannot be considered 'lost' until the courier or postal service has processed the claim for the same and as such refunds will only be given for lost parcels following the completion of a compensation claim with the courier or postal service. Fenner Benedict cannot be held liable for any consequential loss resulting from delayed or lost parcels.

In the unlikely event of a lost or damaged parcel, Fenner Benedict and the courier / postal service must be informed immediately. In the case of a damaged parcel, photographic evidence will be requested to assist with compensation claims - this will be needed before any claim process can commence.

Information on Import Duty (Applicable to orders from outside the United Kingdom):

Please note that all shipments outside of the UK as well as those sent to the Channel Islands may be subject to Import Duty / TAX / VAT which are applied once a shipment reaches your country.

I have no control over these charges and am unable to predict what they may be. These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer as the importer and under no circumstances will Fenner Benedict be responsible for the payment of these charges. Customs clearance charges and handling fees must be paid for by the importer of the goods.

I am not able to offer a refund for returned goods which are returned because the customer wishes to avoid paying any customs duties imposed.

When ordering from Fenner Benedict outside of the UK, you agree to pay any Import Duty / Tax / VAT and handling fees which may be imposed by your country's government. If you refuse to pay any Import Duty / Tax / VAT and handling fees imposed and thereby prevent delivery of your order you will remain liable for the purchase price of the product(s) and any Import Duty / Tax / VAT or penalty imposed by your government.

In addition, items sent overseas may be subject to random checks which may cause associated delays and additional charges. Fenner Benedict is not responsible for any delays or charges imposed by your countries government or other agencies.
