I've been a fan of feral glass for several years, after visiting a booth at a regional Craft show. I've purchased pieces for friends and have two pieces of garden punctuation for my own garden. The whimsy and unique style of the pieces are great conversation pieces! This Christmas I purchased a piece as a gift for a colleague. It was shipped quickly and carefully. My colleague was thrilled with it and I'm once again more than pleased with the quality and the customer service!!

About

Art Running Wild

Feral Glass garden sculptures have an open-air design that allows the wind to pass by with no effect.
Alexander Calder said he developed Mobiles in order to allow Nature to be a co-creator with the Artist. When I made my outdoor panels I faced a similar choice. I could either make a stained glass panel like a fortress, fighting the wind. Or I could develop my art so that it co-exists with Nature, and is one with the elements.

Why wait for the sunlight to reach your window? Putting the stained glass out in the open allows you to enjoy it all day long. The colors glow, shifting as the sun moves by.

John Byrne is an Oklahoma native and an outsider artist. Self taught, he developed the outdoor glass art as a way to bring his gardens to life in the wintertime. Then he discovered that they look good all year round.

He also makes more traditional hanging panels of stained glass. These can be designed for indoor use or can be made extra rugged to allow mounting on a trellis, gazebo or pergola.
