About

Hop on the Ferris Wheel

Sometime in 2010, my mom was in the process of cleaning out the attic when she brought down a couple of boxes of things she wanted to show me. The first was filled with a bunch of her old clothes from the 70s and 80s: a caramel colored suede jacket, a stunning calf-length trench coat, a peplum top and skirt suit with a matching belt, cozy sweaters with thick shoulder pads. She said I was welcome to take what I wanted, and I loved every bit of it. I hated looking and dressing like everyone else, so the thought of having these awesome pieces that no one else had filled me with joy. The second box my mom had was filled with dresses from the 50s and 60s that had belonged to my grandmother: beautiful brocades in sparkling shades of gold, fit and flare silhouettes to die for -- I wanted to wear them all. Unfortunately for me, nothing fit (darn my grandmothers tiny frame and my undying love for chocolate!), but these treasures sent me on a mission to gather treasures of my own.

Fast forward to the summer of 2012. My closet was bursting with vintage and it was clear that my new-found addiction wasn't going to let up anytime soon, so I needed a way to continue to feed my need for the vintage hunt without becoming a hoarder. I worked all summer researching everything I could about vintage, reading Etsy's seller handbook, figuring out the most efficient ways to ship, and acquiring a small stockpile of stunning vintage. On September 12th, 2012, I listed a whooping 8 items and opened up shop. The rest is history!

To this day, Ferris Wheel Vintage continues to grow and evolve, but one thing that has never changed is my desire to bring beautiful, one-of-a-kind vintage gems into the closets, and hearts, of women of every size and style, without breaking the bank. Like a ferris wheel, fashion always come back around, and lucky for me, there is a beautiful community of vintage lovers ready to embrace it!

Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Additional policies and FAQs
Please keep in mind that you are investing in vintage pieces that have been previously worn and loved, and therefore may have minor imperfections. Normal signs of wear such as loose threads, slight fading, and other minor signs of age are to be expected and do not affect wearability.

I meticulously check all of my garments and accessories for flaws. Any flaws found are listed in the item description. If you are concerned about a listed flaw or would like to see a detail photo, please contact me before purchasing.

Measurements of garments are taken with the garment lying flat. The best way to check your measurements is to take the measurements of a similar, well fitting garment. I also provide the vintage tag size as well as a modern estimated size. All pieces are photographed on a single sized dress form. Her measurements are bust: 35", waist: 26", hips: 32". Garments that are labeled as "pinned on model" are larger than these measurements and have been fitted to the dress form for photographing. Please rely on the given measurements of each garment rather than the size of the dress form to insure proper fit. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding sizing.

Unless noted in the item description, all garments have been laundered or dry cleaned, so they are ready to wear when they arrive!

Unless noted in the item description, accessories shown in item photos are not included.

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, PLEASE contact me, and I will be glad to work with you until you are a satisfied customer!
