About

Fiber crafts, fancy goods, and occasionally evening cleaning out the supply stash.

I started this Etsy shop because I love spinning and end up making more yarn than I can weave, crochet, or knit up. Selling these unique, hand-made yarns allows other crafters to personalize their creations, while allowing me to purchase more raw fiber. I've also started selling some of my hand-sewn historic creations, as I love demonstrating period handicrafts for living history, but can only use so many pincushions!

My 20-years-in-the-making stash of fabric and craft supplies---I started young--continually threatens to overwhelm all available closet, under-bed, shelf, and floor space in my immediate area. Consequently, I find I must periodically weed it out. A few years ago, I shifted in focus from modern/fantasy costuming into historic sewing, and so have many beautiful synthetic materials and modern cotton prints which are in need of a good home.

I'm always looking for new projects (whether or not that is a good idea...), so feel free to message me with special requests. If you see an item for sale, and want a different quantity, size, color, etc., I will likely be able to whip something up. Obviously, this refers to handmade items only: de-stash items are only available in the given styles and amounts.

Shop policies

Last updated on October 18, 2013
Greetings! Welcome to my shop. If you have any question about an item, or would like additional clarifying pictures, please ask. If you are looking for larger quantities than I currently have available (or want to suggest new colors), I can give you a time estimate for when the new item will be available in the desired quantity.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Returns and exchanges
I will refund the purchase price of an item (less shipping), provided it is still in it's original condition and you have contacted me within one week of receiving the item. Buyer pays return shipping. Items which have been cut, washed, or otherwise used such that they are no longer in the original condition will not receive refunds. I follow Etsy's guidelines for damages, losses, etc. A "no refunds" in the item description supersedes this.
Payment
I use Etsy's direct payment method, and will generally ship within one business day.
Shipping
I default to USPS economy shipping (parcel post or first class package depending on weight), but can send items by priority mail, and/or add insurance if requested. I will add delivery confirmation to all sales >$20.00. Please contact me before purchasing if you prefer a different shipping service such as UPS or FedEx. At this time, I only ship within the United States.

I try to recycle, so shipping containers may have seen previous use.
Additional policies and FAQs
All my items are from a smoke-free, pet-free environment. If a vintage item has noticeable odors, I will mention it. I will try to document any flaws or other potential concerns as I see them. Please consult the posted pictures, and ask any questions you may have before buying.
