Announcement   February 2018. Woops, you've found Rosanna and the rabbits (and sheep and cows and pigs) taking a little "creative break." Actually, lots of new creating is happening behind the scenes, but a little break from the retail end of things. I'm shifting mediums, so the creations which will be coming into the shop in the next few months will be quite different in some ways from what I've made in the past. None of them will contain wool or other animal products! I hope you will check back to see what little creatures have come into being!
Please contact me with special requests, and favorite my shop to receive notifications when new items become available.
Ten percent of all sales of rabbit figurines or other rabbit art from my shop is donated to the Wisconsin House Rabbit Society, which rescues and cares for abandoned and homeless domesticated house rabbits. http://wisconsinhrs.org/about-whrs/
Ten percent of sales of all other types of animals and items goes to http://sanctuarywool.com, a sheep sanctuary in Wisconsin.

About

Felting tells my story and shares my love for nature and all the little beings that live in it.

I started needle felting about five years ago, and it quickly turned into a passion, then a full-time job, and now, a hobby that's a bit of a compulsion. I'm a full-time mom now, so needle felting and my other creative hobbies happen during naptimes and in the evenings, sometimes even during lunch. But I can't seem to stay away; I've always got a few ideas for new characters that I want to try.

Animal welfare is extremely important to me; it's something I try to bring attention to with my felting, and it's something I think about daily, in all my choices of what I consume. I purchase my wool from a number of wonderful suppliers who are committed to loving, ethical treatment of their animals and more sustainable, small-scale farming practices. My core wool and most of my basic colors are sourced from a small sheep farm in Missouri, which is owned by Kristin, of MyLittleSheep, here on Etsy. (https://www.etsy.com/shop/MyLittleSheep?ref=search_shop_redirect)

I like to find inspiration and brainstorm ideas when I'm out on walks with my daughter. And I often look to my favorite children's books as well, especially Wind in the Willows, Beatrix Potter, and a special favorite in my family's traditions, The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes, by Du Bose Heyward.

My Etsy shop gives me a forum for criticism and feedback, as well as inspiration and community. I believe the synthesis of nature, art, and spirituality is critical to living a joyful, fulfilling, and thankful life. I believe in being thoughtful and conscious about what we consume, be it what we eat, what we read, or what we decorate our homes with, and all of my art is an attempt to convey what I find beautiful and precious in the world around me.

Shipping
Your order will ship as soon as it is completed and payment is received. Processing times are listed for each item under "Shipping and Policies." I always ship my items on time and often ahead of time, but please check processing times before purchase if you need an item by a certain date.

Each item in my shop has a shipping timeframe which is listed in the item description, and which is visible when you add an item to your cart. Please note that not all items ship in the same amount of time, and if you order multiple items, they will not ship separately. They will ship when the item with the longest processing time is ready. If you have questions about this, please contact me PRIOR to purchase.

Custom orders may take longer and that will be discussed on an individual basis.

Unless otherwise requested, all orders are shipped USPS First Class or USPS Priority Mail with delivery tracking and confirmation. Within the continental U.S., you will usually receive your package within 2-5 days of shipment.

For overnight shipping, shipping insurance, or international deliveries to countries other than Canada, please contact me so that I can determine accurate shipping costs.

I am very much invested in my creations and in your enjoyment of them. In other words, I want you to receive them!!! I will do everything within my control to ensure that you do receive your felted creations in a timely manner. I take care to double-check your address with what USPS suggests, to make sure my packages are carefully packed and secured, and to monitor the shipping progress once packages leave my care. However, I CANNOT be responsible for what happens to your package once it is in possession of USPS and AM NOT ABLE TO COMPENSATE FOR DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF YOUR PACKAGE AFTER INITIAL SHIPPING. I cannot afford to offer refunds or replacement for items lost in the shipping process, though you can be sure I will feel upset about it, should it happen.

It is very uncommon for a package to go missing in transit, but it is a possibility, and has occurred once, as of 4.07.14.

****In order to avoid potential shipping delays or mishaps, please check that the shipping address you have entered is correct.*****
