Welcome to Fibre Art Studio's Etsy shop

Hello! Thank you for stopping by.

Fibre Art Studio, home to five fibre artists, is located on Granville Island, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We opened our studio's current location to the public in November 1979 to create, display and sell our work, as well as to network with our customers and fellow artists/artisans. Everything offered at our studio is handmade by our members.

Our collective work is comprised of tapestry weaving, hand-loom weaving, knitting, felting, spinning and dyeing. We create, both, visual and wearable art, as well as practical textiles for the home, with each item being one-of-a-kind or part of a limited edition.

In addition to our finished work, we offer a wide range of hand-dyed luxury yarns and fibres, as well as handspun yarn. Knitters, weavers, felters, quilters and mixed media artists are among our regular customers.

We opened our Etsy shop in February 2016, and will continue to add new items and information. Please visit our shop regularly to check out what's new.

    Yoriko was born in Tokyo, Japan, and has been living in Vancouver area for last 20 years. Trained as architect and fashion designer, she approaches her art from both, aesthetic and technical standpoints. Yoriko is the shop manager of our Etsy shop.

    Owner, Tapestry Weaver, Spinner & Dyer

    Founder of our Studio. She has exhibited widely over the past 40 years, locally, nationally, and internationally. Her work has been featured in books, magazine and newspapers. In 2014, a catalogue of her solo show, Falling from Grace, was published.

    Owner, Weaver, Dyer

    Penny was born in England but has spent most of her life in Canada. Her formal education is in the health sciences and she worked in the health field for over 30 years during which weaving, spinning and dyeing provided opportunity to "decompress".

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Returns and exchange details
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us as soon as possible, no later than 14 days of receipt of your order.

We offer returns on any items (excluding shipping), in its original resell-able condition. The refund will be issued when the item is received.

The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Shipping
If you need your order by a specific date, please contact us for a quote for parcel service with guaranteed delivery time. The shipping time below is for your reference only and not guaranteed.

Canadian customers - If your order contains up to 300 grams of yarn, your order will be shipped with Canada Post as oversize letter. Tracking and insurance are NOT included. Your order will be vacuum packed in order to save on shipping. Please upgrade shipping if you would like to have tracking or you do not want your item vacuum packed. Shipping time is typically 5 – 15 business days from shipping date.
If your order contains more than 300 grams of yarn, your order will be shipped with Canada Post, via Chit Chats Express. Your yarn will be vacuum packed in order to save on shipping. Tracking is included. Shipping time is typically 10 to 20 business days.

US customers – Your order will be shipped with USPS via Chit Chats Express. Tracking is included. We typically ship US orders on Monday or Tuesday, and shipping time is typically 5 – 10 business days from shipping date, but it may take longer if the order is held at the customs.

International customers: Your order will be shipped with Asendia via Chit Chats Express. Tracking is included to many countries (Please contact us for details). Insurance is included if your order value is more than $100 Canadian. Shipping time is typically 20 – 40 business days from shipping date, but it may take longer if the order is held at the customs.

Please ask for a quote if your country or your preferred shipping method/option (including insurance) is not listed in the upgrade options.

The customer is responsible for any duty and/or customs taxes.

I currently run my business with my business partners at Fibre Art Studio, who are listed in the shop info page, and I may share your personal information with them, but only to the extent necessary to fulfill your orders.
