This is fantastic yarn! :D It is slowly turning into a wonderful pair of fingerless gloves for me. I say slowly, because the yarn is so pretty, I can't knit fast with it. HIghly likely that I will purchase more of this and some other from FibrePiratess!

In my shop you find a lot of different yarns – mostly art yarns – which are inspired by several things like fairy-tales, classical and modern literature, nature, weird creatures and gods from different cultures and of course my everyday life.

My yarns are handspun and as every handmade article there are some specialties to know about it:
Handspun yarn may vary in thickness. The yarn can also tear in the process of spinning, plying and winding. When that occurs, I try to join it as good as I can but sometimes you still have a visible knot. But that also happens with commercial yarn you can buy in shops.
The bits and pieces I include in my art yarns usually are quite good fixed. Still it is possible that they fall out of the yarn. You also should handle with care.

If you are interested to stay in touch, visit FibrePiratess at Facebook or Twitter. Or you can take a look at my blog at It is written in German but I plan to add little summaries of my posts in English, too.

If you are a local buyer we can finish our business over a cup of coffee ;-)
The orders are shipped after I receive the payment, also the refund is handled after I received my items back. I try to ship all my items within one or two days after receiving the payment.
If I don't receive the payment within 5 days after purchasing, I will relist the items.

I ship international. If your country is not listed in my shipping options, please contact me and I will do so!

If you buy several items, I offer combined shipping with reduced costs. Please contact me if your order is not finished.

If you buy three yarns or more, I will buy a tracking number, just to be on the safe side. There's no noteworthy insurance coming with it, but at least you and I can track the parcel.
Shipping overseas usually seems to take 7 to 10 days but on rare occasions it is possible that it takes some weeks to arrive. Within Europe it is mostly 4 to 7 days.

Please contact me if you're interested in upgrading your shipping options like insured or priority shipping! I will inform you about the individual cost.

If you are not content with the quality of your purchased item/s, please contact me within one week after receiving it/them. A return is possible, but you have to pay for the shipping.
I’ll refund your money after I receive the item/s in the same condition as shipped.
Additional policies and FAQs
Colour fastness
Although I strive for colour accuracy when I take photos of my yarns, the colours may look a little different on your monitor.

I can reserve any item you’d like to buy for one week.

Special wishes
If you have a special wish about a yarn, please contact me. Maybe I can spin your special handmade fantasy ;-) It depends how hard it is to get the materials. I also might to be able to spin you additional yarn of the same kind you ordered.

Health, environment & allergy
All my yarns are spun in a smoke and pet free home.
If you react allergic on wool, you are maybe interested in something made of silk, alpaca or plant fibers. If you live as a vegan, plant fibers may be an opportunity for you, too.

I would really like to receive feedback from you. I also am very curious what you create of my yarns, so I love to receive photos and reports how you got along with it.
