Welcome to Finger and Hook!

I'm Dee. The conception behind Finger and Hook started a few months ago. I found myself looking at these beautiful crocheted scarves on Pinterest and thought to myself...hmmm what if I learned how to crochet a scarf to wear rather than do what I normally do and buy them. I jokingly told that to my husband and he started laughing. He did say go for it and see what you are able to do. The next day I found myself at Michaels and got some basic supplies such as hooks and yarn and I was ready to dabble in the world of crochet.

I taught myself the basic stitches in a few weeks and started learning more and more stitches, designs, and adding my own designs. Concurrently, I also fell in love with chunky wool blend yarn and other yarn and all the majestic colors. I started making scarves, cowls, gloves, headbands, coasters, and other accessories. It was around a month of doing this and I was hooked! At this time I decided I wanted to see if I could crochet gauge wire into jewelry pieces and learned how to do that as well and was able to play, mold, and transform wire into jewelry. Along the way, Finger and Hook was born. The style and design of Finger and Hook is modern, minimalist, and ultra chic.

Crocheting has not only become a hobby, but a passion. It caught me by surprise since I'm a logical and scientific behavior analyst by day and when I'm not working, my creative juices are released in the world of my beloved yarn, hardworking fingers, and some steady hooks.
