Announcement   Finnsheep fiber is exquisite for spinning, knitting and crocheting, weaving, felting, and all textile handcrafts. Our sleek wool preparations are very clean and our sheep are bred to provide a fine soft wool. Our farm grown wool is specially skirted to create high quality preparations for your fibery pleasure.

Ironwood Hill Farm raises Heritage Landrace Finnsheep. Friendly and frisky, these sheep grow silky, crimpy soft fiber averaging a 5-6 inch staple length. If you have not tried Finnsheep wool fiber, try ours, you won' be disappointed. Our farm is adding lustrous Cotswold long wool locks to our growing fiber selections in whites, blacks, metal grey, and silver. Check back or inquire about the availability and for more selections of the many plant dyed yarns that I am currently adding to the shop.

Supporting our farm will help us in our endeavors to continue to grow our fiber selections for you. We are a self sustaining farm using low impact farming practices to protect the environment and raise our Heritage Finnsheep and our new Cotswolds (threatened species) using organically based management practices.

Check our shop again soon for Ironwood Hill Farm's own unique lines of plant dyed yarns. We are completing our studio to expand our fiber arts line, stay tuned.
