About

Experienced Hooker Seeks Passionate Customers

Now get your mind out of the gutter, I'm not THAT kind of hooker... but a crochet hooker:)

My relationship with Etsy began way back in 2009, but my relationship with crocheting goes further back than that. Has it been 20 years already?! Where did the time go?

July. 1995. School's out for summer. I used to get this retail fashion book in the mail every month (I can't even remember the name of it) but that particular month featured a cool, groovy, and "I had to have it skirt." I begged my mother to buy it for me, but she said, "NO WAY." I said, "please, I will be babysitting full time next month and I will pay you back!", but then she surprised me with her reasoning, by saying, "it's not the money, this skirt is made up of granny squares, it's crocheted, and if you learn to crochet, you can make it yourself."

Well... I did learn to crochet that summer, and I've never stopped!

Fast forward 20 years . I've come a long way. I design, write, and chart my own patterns and I love to challenge myself with new ideas. My theory is that anything can be crocheted. I've even designed and crocheted an entire wedding dress!

My goal is to change people's idea on crochet as "just doilies, shawls, and winter hats and scarves" (which are nice, don't get me wrong!) to viewing crochet as current, relevant, hip, and as elaborate works of art!

What I give you? My best works of art. A lot of time, precision, and care is put into each of my shop items. I want you to enjoy them as much as I enjoyed designing and making them!
