Nikki did an AMAZING job on this special request. The art work was delivered promptly and was stunning in person. It looks great in the frame and I cannot WAIT to see my friends when they open this very personal gift. Thank you Nikki!!! :)

What does Firefall Myths mean?

I have always had a fascination for stories - C.S. Lewis' Narnia, Richard Adams' Watership Down, J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth, as well as Greek and Celtic myths. Growing up as a Navy brat and constantly moving meant my books and stories were my best friends. Myths and the wonderful spellbinding stories of my youth influence my work today.

Having since stopped being a roving gypsy, I have spent a portion of my life living in the wonderful state I was born in, California, near Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks. The Yosemite Firefall was a legend I grew up with, with photos from my Uncle and stories of the rain of coals dropping from over the edge of Glacier Point down to the valley below it.

I combined these two to reflect what I wanted the basis of my studio to be, nature and mythology united to illustrate a story.
