5 out of 5 starsShipping: Great! The item arrived in a timely manner and I appreciate Eric's handwritten note. --- Item: This one also smells fantastic and leaves my hair feeling soft without the need for conditioning. I like the fact that I'm not putting a lot of compounds in my hair to get it clean, not to mention how many more uses I can get out of this bar over a bottle. I should also mention these shampoo bars hold together really well and do not crumble or melt!

5 out of 5 starsShipping: Great! The box arrived timely and I appreciate Eric's handwritten note.
Item: The shampoo smells wonderful, though I wouldn't say it is a "soft" or "feminine" scent. If it smells a little dull when it first arrives it's only because the soap is dry, and when it lathers the smell gets stronger. If you like earthy scents on the crisper side this bar is for you. -
About FireweedNaturals
Learning to care for ourselves while providing for others.
Our story begins with a desire for caring for our own family. Some examples include growing our own organic vegetables in a large garden each summer, planting edible vegetation such as blueberries and apple trees for decoration around our yard, and using natural cloth diapers for our children. We then began to look at the products that we clean with and realized that most of our home and body cleaning products did not fit with our philosophy of taking care of ourselves and our planet. So we began to investigate making our own cleaning products. We began making our own laundry detergent from store-bought soap bars. We later started experimenting at making our own soap bars for our laundry detergent. As we shared our experiences with friends and family, we began receiving inquires about our products. So the idea of Fireweed Naturals began as we started crafting laundry soaps. This soon expanded to a variety of hand and body soaps and all natural shampoos. We continue exploring new products all natural, chemical free products that can benefit our health while caring for our planet. We actively use with our own family all the products that we craft and sell.
So what’s up with Fireweed? Fireweed is a flowering plant, often found growing in areas that have recently been burned by forest fire. It’s one of the first major plant species that return to an area after a disturbed site, thus encouraging plant-eating animals to soon follow. It’s a symbol of rebirth and new life. Having lived in Alaska for a number of years, we also came to rely on fireweed to signal the upcoming change to winter each year as the last of the flowers at the top of the plant would bloom and fall off. These themes of rebirth, renewal, and change are important to us in our daily lives as we take care of ourselves, our community, and our planet, and is also reflected in our faith lives through forgiveness, renewal, and reflecting the love and acceptance that have been shown to us.
