As a preschool teacher for 25 years, I’ve put my love of children and my knowledge of child development into every flannel board set I’ve created, so you can be sure you’re getting the perfect combination of fun and fundamentals! What could be better than engaging and fun hands-on activities that promote imagination, early literacy, fine motor, and math skills? And wait–all through play!? Yep.

I use a combination of spring-loaded scissors and various cutting machines to achieve my lovely, crisply cut designs. I use Wool Blend felt because it's gorgeous and soft, and children are drawn to the vibrant colors and fuzzy feel. I've been motivated by the interests of my students over the years, and my classroom has been my 'test kitchen'! I've seen what works and what doesn't work first hand, and I fine tune my sets accordingly.
Being a teacher was my first love, and I want to support preschool teachers and children's librarians in their use of flannel board stories with children. The collection in my shop is based on my many favorites over the years. Children can use these, too, of course.
