Beautiful necklace! Beads are gorgeous and the design and beads look so pretty how they are placed, complimented with a beautiful, colorful Hawaiian shell. Thanks Shelly!

This is my second order of knobs and they are well made and so unique. Beautiful shells on knobs that go great with a beach deecor!

About

Flattery Designs Creates Amazing Items from Nature

In January 2012, Bronwen, Eve, and Amy hiked out to Kaena Point and happened upon a beach that was filled with a seemingly endless supply of amazing shells. After spending hours in the water getting bruised and battered by the waves and the rocks, we came home with some of the most beautiful shells we'd ever seen! Christropher, Eve's father, watched us sort and clean them and suggested that we sell them. We think he just wanted them out of his house.....

At first, we couldn't imagine ever parting with our special shells. But after making several trips back to the beach we quickly realized if we didn't start doing something the shells were going to need their own bedroom! So we bought a drill press, signed up for jewelry making classes, became VIPs at our local bead store and the rest is history!

We named our shop Flattery Designs because imitation is the highest form of flattery! We are inspired by all the things that surround us here on our island paradise. Amy is notorious for looking at something and saying "I could do that" and usually, she can!

We absolutely love sharing our shells with you and adding a little bit of aloha to your life!

The fun started in 2012 when I found an amazing shelling spot with my friend, Bronwen! We found so many they started taking over the house, so we taught ourselves how to make jewelry. Many classes later, I am bringing you a little piece of aloha!

Eve is 14 years old and a huge help with this business! She goes on extreme shell hunts all over the North Shore for hours on end and helps clean and organize the shells. Recently, she started drilling and designing her own things!
