What is your policy for cancellation on customized paintings?

It will depend on the stage of the painting I'm in. If I have not begun to work* on your illustration, you will be repaid the total amount in full. If I have begun to work* on your illustration, you agree that you shall receive 50% of total listing purchase as refund. If Substantial Work** has begun, you agree that your order is subject to the hard zero cancellation policy of my shop and the full amount paid to the listing is non-refundable.

(*)Work is defined as: The creation of a file where I have started sketching the illustration according to your reference photos.
(**)Substantial Work is defined as: The creation of a file where I have begun painting the image on layers separate from the reference photos.

The face of one or more of the people in my custom painting does not look exactly like the person / people I'm trying to depict, why can't you get the face right?

When you purchased a custom painting from my shop, you acknowledged that you where paying for a stylized piece. This means that I am not painting a hyper realistic piece for you and it will not look exactly photo realistic. In addition, to better assist me with getting the right likeness to the subjects, please do not provide me photos that have bad resolution or bad lighting. If you ask me to recreate someone's face/body in a different position than the reference photo initially given, I will ask for you to provide another photo with similar of an angle as the position you would like me to get. I do not know the people you want me to recreate and as such I'm unable to make up details of someone's face.
