These 20.60(GBP) earrings are okay but not worth the extra 22.35(GBP) I had to pay for postage and customs duty. Most definitely not worth 42.95(GBP). In future I'll only buy from UK vendors.

Beautiful earrings. Thank you so much.
A love of pretty rocks led to all this!
When I turned 40 I fulfilled a lifelong dream and learned to ride a horse. When I turned 50 I started making jewelry. I guess it took this long to find out what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I got tired of waiting for my husband to take the many hints that I wanted a black opal ring and ordered a lovely stone on the internet from an Australian opal miner. I took it to the art teacher at the school where I worked and asked if he would make me a ring. He handed me a ring of wax and some tools and told me to carve the wax into the ring I wanted. After many false starts, lots of frustration and several bad words I finally made the wax into the ring I wanted. The art teacher then walked me thru the process of lost wax casting and I had my sterling silver and black opal ring that I still wear today.
Then I discovered wire wrapping and metal work and have been having a great time ever since. Pretty rocks are still my main focus but I have discovered that I love working with metal such as copper, brass and bronze and have been learning to forge and shape metal with torches and hammers. It is very satisfying to hammer the heck out of a piece of metal and come up with something beautiful. Great way to get rid of frustrations and be productive at the same time!

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS (outside the US) are responsible for all import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. These fees and taxes and any additional charges for customs clearance are levied once a shipment reaches your country and must be borne by the recipient (it is NOT included in the item price or shipping charges).
Please be familiar with your own country's customs duties, VAT, delivery fees, or taxes, as these are your responsibility.
We accurately prepare customs forms, and do not mark items as gift, sample, or low value, which should insure quicker processing through customs and more reliable delivery. Just be aware that once your package crosses borders we have no control over it.
Please wait a month from shipment notification before deciding your shipment is lost. In some countries, 4-6 weeks delivery is not unusual. Tracking is often not possible in international situations. We follow United States law and Etsy guidance in determining whether or not we can ship to a particular country.
European Union Customers--Under Etsy's policies you have 14 days after receipt of your purchase to return it for a full refund including original shipping charges to you. You are responsible for return charges to seller.
UK Shoppers--The following is from the Royal Mail website--
Receiving mail from countries outside the UK
All mail that enters the UK may be examined by Customs. Normally letters, postcards and parcels containing only documents or similar forms of correspondence are excluded.
If you are receiving a parcel from a country outside the EU it may incur Customs charges. Any parcel assessed as being liable for Customs charges will also incur a Royal Mail handling fee of £8.
Any goods imported into the UK over the value of £15 are liable to import VAT. Gifts between private individuals over the value of £36 are also liable for VAT. Goods and gifts over these values may also be liable for customs duty. You no longer have to pay Customs duty for goods up to the value of £135, however you will still be required to pay import VAT and excise duty where applicable.
Customs policies vary widely from country to country; please contact your local customs office for further information, or calculate possible fees here: http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/.
Please be aware that when customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond my original delivery estimates. All international orders will have full value declared on customs forms, and will be marked as "merchandise" - no exceptions.
