Bevor ich Engelsflügel entwarf, war ich Hochzeitsfotograf.
Schöne Momente waren mein Alltag – Bräute, Tänzerinnen, Künstlerinnen – doch immer wieder stieß ich auf dasselbe Problem: Die benötigten Requisiten für die Flügel waren entweder extrem teuer oder gingen schon nach wenigen Einsätzen kaputt.
Eines Tages, nachdem ein weiteres zerbrechliches Paar während eines Fotoshootings auseinandergefallen war, dachte ich:
„Warum kann ich nicht Flügel herstellen, die sowohl atemberaubend als auch haltbar sind?“
Dieser eine Moment der Frustration wurde zum Anfang von allem.
Ich begann mit Materialien zu experimentieren, formte Federn von Hand, testete Strukturen und lernte, wie man Flügel herstellt, die leicht, stark und vor der Kamera atemberaubend aussehen.
Was als einfache Lösung für meine eigene Fotografiearbeit begann, entwickelte sich langsam zu einem Handwerk… und schließlich zu diesem Laden.
Before I became a creator of angel wings, I was a wedding photographer.
Beautiful moments were my daily life — brides, dancers, performers — yet I constantly ran into the same problem: the wing props we needed were either extremely expensive, or they broke after only a few uses.
One day, after another fragile pair fell apart during a shoot, I thought:
“Why can’t I make wings that are both stunning and durable?”
That single moment of frustration became the beginning of everything.
I started experimenting with materials, shaping feathers by hand, testing structures, and learning how to make wings that were light, strong, and breathtaking on camera.
What began as a simple solution for my own photography work slowly turned into a craft… and eventually, into this shop.
