Cleaning driftwood.

I'm a beachcomber!

My husband and I left the city several years ago seeking less traffic, better boating and beautiful beaches. We jumped over Lake Michigan from Chicago and made our new home in West Michigan. The shores of Lake Michigan have so many beautiful beaches it wasn’t long before my new, favorite pastime quickly became beachcombing – and FLOAT was born!

I can’t walk on a beach without picking up pockets full of stones and arms full of driftwood. Sometimes I know immediately what I will create with a rock or piece of driftwood. Other times I hold on to things I find interesting until something inspires me.

All of the driftwood, stone and beach glass used in my artwork is found on the shores of Lake Michigan. I hope you enjoy viewing my art as much as I enjoy creating it.

I’m so appreciative to those of you that shop on Etsy for handmade, one of a kind items. Thank you for visiting my shop.
