Illustrations from pressed flowers

My name is Anastasia and I am a pressed flower artist based in Wrocław, Poland. My technique is based on natural elements and everything that nature so graciously provides. I use pressed flowers, foliage, and many other materials that are found in woodlands, roadsides, and gardens of Poland. My work is deeply imaginative and very delicate, inspired by organic forms, colors, and shapes found in the natural world.

I have been fascinated with botanical art since early childhood and attended Floral and Pressed flower design courses as an extracurricular activity all throughout my school years. I went to college and graduated as an accountant, but several years later realized that her passion was in creating art. Several years later I graduated from Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Poland. I am a winner of multiple International pressed flower competitions in Japan and South Korea.

Frequently asked questions
How long will the colors of the flowers stay preserved?

The pressed flowers in my art shown here are in their natural colors without any paint. By the way, they have vibrant colors. Pressed flowers art should be kept out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. Artwork from dried flowers must be protected by glass to prevent fading. Two simple rules help you preserve art in perfect condition.

For the most part pressed flowers are able to maintain their natural color for a very long time, but eventually some amount of fading is inevitable. Some may begin to show fading sooner, while others may last longer. But even when fading does occur it is usually minor - I've never seen a flower completely lose its color (or even come close to that).
