Ci piace il nostro lavoro e mettiamo molto amore ed energia felice nei gioielli che creiamo. La qualità è importante per entrambi, e quindi realizziamo gioielli che durano. E su quel cervello condiviso? Non sappiamo nemmeno come funziona, ma il risultato è un po 'come un fileserver wireless ad accesso aperto. È utile.
La maggior parte dei nostri gioielli è realizzata in argento sterling. Lavoriamo spesso con pietre preziose semipreziose, a volte iniziando con piccole lastre di roccia che tagliamo e lucidamo in cabochon. Lavoriamo con molti utensili manuali, due piccole torce e alcune piccole macchine motorizzate. Cerchiamo di mantenere la nostra impronta ridotta, nel nostro consumo e nella nostra attività. Il nostro argento di scarto viene raccolto, salvato e riciclato in modo che nulla vada sprecato.

Hello and thanks for reading this far! We are Michael & Mary, and this is the spot where Etsy suggests we answer the question "How does it all work?" We'll be honest: We're still figuring it out.
We are partners who share a small jewelry-making studio … and a life. We create jewelry for a living – you can see our work at art shows and in a few galleries, and now we sell around the world thanks to this shop. Teaching others how to make in metals has become a big part of our lives too. It's soul-satisfying to be able to create things that people like to wear and find meaningful or beautiful – and to pass this trade on to a new generation of makers.
We also run a supply shop for makers on Etsy: FlowStudioSupply. There you'll see many of the exclusive metalsmithing tools we have designed and we manufacture right here in our hometown, Milwaukee.
We enjoy our work and put a lot of love and happy energy into the jewelry we create. Quality is important to both of us, and thus we make jewelry that lasts. And about that shared brain? We don't know how that works either, but the result is kind of like a wireless, open-access fileserver. It's handy.
Most of our jewelry is made from sterling silver. We often work with semiprecious gemstones, sometimes starting with small slabs of rock that we cut and polish into cabochons. We work with a lot of hand tools, two small torches, and a few small powered machines. We try to keep our footprint small, in our own consumption and in our business. Our scrap silver is gathered, saved, and recycled so nothing goes to waste.
