¡Hola! Mi nombre es Jocelyn y soy la artista detrás de Flowerleaf Studio. Vivo en el hermoso estado de Virginia, donde creo joyas y arte hechos a mano en mi casa en las Montañas Blue Ridge. Mi espacio de arte está lleno de cuentas, cadenas, lienzos, pintura, varios tipos de papeles y utensilios de dibujo. Recientemente me he centrado principalmente en joyería, dibujo y pintura boho modernos pintados a mano.
Mi hermana menor y yo compartimos un espacio de trabajo que solía ser el comedor familiar, lo cual es una gran bendición después de haber trabajado en nuestro sótano oscuro y húmedo durante algunos años. Siempre tenemos música mientras creamos y es otra bendición que compartimos los mismos gustos musicales, ¡jaja! Es un gran privilegio tener una hermana que es compañera artista y amiga cercana.
Mi inspiración proviene de la belleza de la creación de Dios y su obra me sorprende cada día más. Mi estilo es bastante ecléctico y me llevó un poco más de tiempo del debido estar de acuerdo con no tener un área de enfoque.
Hello! My name is Jocelyn and I am the artist behind Flowerleaf Studio. I live in the beautiful state of Virginia, where I create handmade jewelry and art at my home in the Blue Ridge Mountains. My art space is full of beads, chain, canvases, paint, various types of papers and drawing utencils. Recently I've been focusing mostly on hand painted modern boho jewelry, drawing, and painting.
My younger sis and I share a workspace that used to be the family dining room, which is a huge blessing after having been working in our dark and dank basement for a few years. We always have music going while we're creating and it's another blesding that we share the same tastes in music, haha! It's such a privilege having a sister who is a fellow artist and close friend.
My inspiration comes from the beauty of God's creation and His handiwork amazes me more each day. My style is rather eclectic and it took me a little longer than it should have to be okay with not having one area of focus.
