I love art more than almost anything else. I love drawing and painting and perfecting every detail of a piece, but what I love most is creating something beautiful that I know will be used. The idea that art should be seen by as many people as possible, that it should be used and should be a part of your life, is what led me to begin painting shoes, for myself at first, and then for everyone.

I specialize in custom, hand-painted shoes and other art. My shop offers custom shoes,as well as some painted medical scrubs, and I sometimes feature other types of my art: drawings, paintings, scratchboard, postcards, and jewelry.

Each item is made to order and painted with the utmost care. I have years of training in art, so you can rest assured that your item, no matter how complex, will turn out just the way you want it! I have a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the University of California - San Diego, where I focused on drawing and painting, though I also have a background in sculpture, jewelry-making, scratchboard, screen printing, and other types of art. I have been selling my art for more than 15 years.

All my shoes are canvas. For most designs, I begin with a layer of gesso to smooth the canvas. I then draw your design on in graphite by hand. For paint, I use a mixture of acrylic paint and a fabric additive to increase the durability of the design. When the artwork is complete and dry, it is sprayed with a coat of clear protctive matte finish to protect the paint and make the shoes easies to clean.

I accept custom orders! If you're looking for a dsign that is all your own, I create any design on a shoe for you, in any style, in any color. And if you see something you like but would like it a little different, message me through Etsy for a custom order or to arrange a slight alteration to an existing listing. All my shoes are made to order, so you can choose any design, any color, on a variety of brands, including Vans and Converse.

I'm vegan-friendly! My shoes are entirely synthetic - canvas with a rubber sole. I use gesso, acrylic paint with a fabric medium, and a clear protective matte spray finish to protect the paint and keep the shoes durable and looking good as long as possible.

I wear the prototypes of all my designs and can personally vouch that they are comfortable (I am on my feet the entire day) and durable (they can withstand rain and some serious spills).

A tiny bit about me: I'm a vegan artist and only use vegan products, paints, and brushes. I spend some of my time as a nurse to critical animals in an emergency room, much of my time keeping up with my new baby, some of my time keeping up with my house full of cats and birds, and the rest of my time designing and painting custom shoes and other art.
