What is done in love is done well. -VVG
As a little girl, I carted around my tackle box full of beads and friendship bracelet string. Art supplies were always at the top of my Christmas list. I remember my first “collection”- soda bottle cap earrings I made and gave to all of my friends in the fifth grade. I spent my babysitting money on sculpting clay and begged to go to the flea market on the weekends as a middle schooler to find things that could be made into jewelry. In high school, I spent my summers perfecting my penmanship and making signs for my friends’ college dorm rooms. In college I took on so many new creative ventures, even more in the past few years! I have made jewelry lines for boutiques, wedding stationery and decor, custom graphics for marketing, and pumped out postcards for teachers to send to their students during the height of COVID-19 in nearly half of the United States! I have always made room for creativity.
I love to let my mind wander- planning each step of a creative project with great attention to detail is my kryptonite. I do it over and over again with each new inspiration- color, texture, jewelry, home decor, or even painting. I am never afraid of a new endeavor and am always excited to be a student of art and design.
But the best part of all of this exploring is the story that comes with the finished product. It’s why I am drawn to handmade and vintage above most other things- because it has a story to tell. Whether something was given as a gift, previously belonged to and treasured by someone else, or is simply something that someone put much thought and attention into creating- the intentionality of the story pulls me in more than any trend or flashy new concept.
I hope that each item in my store will be treasured. May my intentionality in creating something meaningful or curating previously-loved pieces and making them new speak deeply to you. My hope is that with each collection that I release, you and I both are continually inspired to be intentional with our daily lives, those we love, and allow ourselves to always make room for the things we love.
