Mi historia comenzó en marzo de 2020, cuando compré mi primer peluche Jellycat: un oso Bartholomew mediano. En aquel entonces, el mundo se tambaleaba por el inicio de la pandemia de COVID-19 y, como muchos otros, me costaba adaptarme. Era estudiante de cuarto año de universidad, insegura sobre mi futuro y sin estar preparada para la transición abrupta de las clases presenciales al aprendizaje en línea.
En medio de todo el caos, encontré consuelo en Barley, mi pequeño Bart. Se convirtió en una fuente de seguridad y valor, ayudándome a superar los días difíciles. Me encantaba abrazarlo cuando me sentía triste y llevarlo conmigo en mis aventuras y viajes. Aunque desde entonces he añadido muchos otros peluches Jellycat a mi colección, Barley sigue ocupando un lugar especial en mi corazón.
Uno de mis pasatiempos favoritos es vestirlo para diferentes ocasiones. Si bien Jellycat ofrece Barts con ropa, me obsesioné con diseñar y confeccionar prendas únicas para mi querido Barley. Además, no quería comprar otro Bart; ¡Barley podría ponerse celoso!
Hace poco, abrí una cuenta de Instagram, @well_dressed_barley, para compartir momentos de mi día a día con Barley y mostrar los conjuntos creativos que diseño para diferentes estaciones, festividades y celebraciones. Para mi sorpresa, ¡la cuenta consiguió más de 600 seguidores en tan solo un mes! Mucha gente me preguntaba dónde podían comprar la ropa que creaba, lo que me inspiró a emprender este negocio. Me di cuenta de que podía compartir alegría, amor y felicidad con otras personas que también adoran a sus peluches Barts y Jellycat.
Cada prenda de esta tienda está diseñada por mí y confeccionada con esmero por mis socios de producción y por mí. Creemos que vestir peluches añade un toque especial de diversión y es una forma lúdica de expresar cariño y celebrar las pequeñas alegrías de la vida. En un mundo lleno de desafíos, estos momentos de felicidad son como pequeñas escapadas mágicas: recuerdos de la maravilla y la pura alegría que sentíamos de niños.
My story began in March 2020, when I bought my first Jellycat plush: a medium Bartholomew bear. At the time, the world was reeling from the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and, like many others, I was struggling to adapt. I was a fourth-year college student, uncertain about my future and unprepared for the abrupt transition from in-person lectures to online learning.
Amid all the chaos, I found comfort in Barley, my medium Bart. He became a source of reassurance and courage, helping me get through difficult days. I loved cuddling him when I felt down, taking him with me on adventures and travels. Even though I've since added many other Jellycat plushies to my collection, Barley continues to hold a special place in my heart.
One of my favorite pastimes is dressing him up for different occasions. While Jellycat does offer Barts with outfits, I became obsessed with designing and making unique clothes for my beloved Barley. Besides, I didn’t want to buy another Bart—Barley might get jealous!
Recently, I started an Instagram account, @well_dressed_barley, to share glimpses of my daily life with Barley and showcase the creative outfits I design for different seasons, holidays, and celebrations. To my surprise, the account gained over 600 followers in just one month! People frequently asked where they could buy the clothes I created, which inspired me to start this business. I realized that I could spread joy, love, and happiness to others who also cherish their Barts and Jellycat plushies.
Every outfit in this shop is designed by me and crafted with care by my production partners and myself. We believe that dressing up plushies adds an extra layer of fun and serves as a playful way to express love and celebrate the little joys in life. In a world filled with serious challenges, these moments of happiness are like small, magical escapes—reminders of the wonder and pure delight we experienced as kids.
