Seeing, Sharing, and Creating Beauty

Foggy Moggy Creative Arts is the creative works outlet of Drew Harbaugh, an ICU nurse turned artist. My desire to create has led me down two separate paths, which I love equally: the first path as a woodturner and woodworker, making mostly utilitarian but also beautiful pieces of woodenwares such as pens, bowls, cutting boards, etc. I love to find a beautiful, discarded piece of wood and reclaim it, turning it into something that may be used and appreciated for many years to come. There's something alluring and just feels good and right about using a freshly oiled bowl, or heavy cutting board, or a pen with a durable glossy finish that lasts for years of hard use. The designing and crafting of such wares brings me much joy.

The second path I have followed is that of landscape and nightscape photographer. Being out in nature revitalizes me, and I enjoy finding beautiful scenes and capturing their light, and sharing it with others. The process itself calls to me deeply- from finding the right scene, working with the available light, clicking the shutter button, processing it to reflect what I saw and felt at the time, and then using my in-house printer to put that light and that image onto paper. Each scene tells a little story, and sharing that story is at the heart of my photographic journey.

I appreciate that you've taken the time to visit my online shop, and I look forward to bringing my art and craft to you.

I'm an ICU nurse by night, photographic and wood artist by day. A compelling drive to create and make keeps me bouncing between my two passions of photography and woodworking, and I'm pleased to bring my creations to the public through my Etsy shop.

Welcome and thanks for looking around! At Drew Harbaugh Photography/Foggy Moggy Creative Arts, we strive to create things of beauty. Owner, photographer and woodworker Drew is driven by a compelling need to create and make, and that has led him to the twin paths of landscape and nightscape photography. When making photographs, he notices and captures scenes of dynamic vividness, peace, and wonder to share, carefully making images that resonate with the viewer and hold their attention. When in the woodshop, he experiments with various techniques of wood craft, from using his lathe to turn and create utilitarian items such as pens, bowls, and razor handles, to making quality hand-crafted cutting boards, Christmas ornaments, and boxes.

We're glad you found us and hope that the work of Foggy Moggy Creative Arts catches your eye, speaks to your soul, and brings you joy in your day!

Shipping

Most of our shipping is done via USPS Priority Flat Rate. This is to save you money. We do not charge any extra for "handling," and often times we eat excess shipping charges. This is because we want our goods to get out into the world. We want them to be used and loved and given as cherished gifts. Shipping costs should not interfere with you being able to purchase handmade, well-crafted goods.

Unfortunately, due to the excessive expenses associated with shipping internationally, we currently only ship to the United States. We apologize to our international customers.

Additional policies and FAQs

We love custom orders! If you've seen something that you think would look great, but are unsure how to go about making yourself, don't hesitate to get in contact. There may be times when we are unable to make a piece, or cannot reasonably expect to do it to our high standards. When that is the case, we hope to be able to steer you to craftspeople who can. The end goal is to have more functional art pieces out there beautifying the world, whether you buy them from us or from other skilled artists and makers.
