Folclore crafts celebrates the natural richness of our materials and the ingenuity of Portuguese people’s know-how. We are inspired by the intensity, vibrancy and patterns of our traditional costumes, chintz fabrics or tiles but also by the rustiness and sobriety of our raw materials, cork and wool.
We learn from unique techniques like the manufacturing process of ‘burel’ (a boiled wool fabric), the know how of handcrafting cork or the exquisite skills of the embroiderers.
Handcrafting the Portuguese soul is our drive and we make it real supplying unique craft supplies, inspiring DIY projects and teaching traditional techniques.
Our range of craft supplies includes cork materials, wool fabrics and yarns, embroidery supplies, vintage ribbons, national fabrics, cotton and linen yarns, craft twines, and eco-friendly papers.
