Announcement   Welcome to Folk Art Fibers on Etsy!

My shop offers traditional sock monkey dolls, sock creatures, accessories, as well as primitive and retro fiber artistry. My items are handmade in Rockford, Illinois by me.

I have been a fiber artist for years. In 1999, I began the quest of rug hooking and primitive fiber artistry. After numerous shows and awards, I slowed it down a bit. The years have gone by and life has been ever changing, and my passions for working with fiber and fabrics expanded in many directions. Always experimenting and playing with different ideas, I continue to develop new products. Some are primitive, some are retro, some are fun, some are just odd and unique!

"It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to my Etsy shop."

About

Folk Art Fibers: Unique Primitive and Retro Fiber Artistry

Hi there,

I am a Midwest fiber artist. Throughout my life I have had so much inspiration for my work, especially from my family. I love working with wool, socks, cloth, burlap, and whatever other natural or man-made fibers I can get my hands on!

I am married to the best guy in the universe, and we have four wonderful children.

My life forever changed many years ago when I became a Christian. I am a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Now, make no mistake....I am not perfect, just forgiven. I tend to view my life as a work in progress. Sometimes I've got it all together, other times I am stumbling through. What's so cool is that God loves me no matter what! No matter what life may bring, in the big scheme of things I am truly blessed, and without Him I am truly nothing! May I stand before my Lord and King one day, not having done this life in vain!

To you, my customers....Thank you! Whether you choose to purchase my products or not, I thank you for the time you have taken to look at my site. If you leave this site and can't remember my name or even my store, that's OK. But please remember that whatever may be going on in your life, good or bad, secure or scary, there is a God who loves you very much! Life is unpredictable, but God is not. And knowing that can make all the difference in the world!

I love working with fibers! I am not quite sure if my talent was acquired or genetic. ( My mother and my sister were wonderful artists in their time.) My husband and kids encourage me, and I trust the Lord with the rest! Life is good!

Thank you for looking into my shop! I love working with fibers to design and create unique and fun items. Most of my products are "one-of-a-kind" that can be added to collections or given as special gifts!

From time to time I will list vintage and antique items, as I have an affinity for "old"!

All items will be described as they are!

God's Blessings to you and yours!
