Hello everyone! Welcome to Foor Eyes Design, my personal Etsy shop for wedding invitation and event invitation design.

My name is Andrea, and I am the Owner and Graphic Designer of Foor Eyes Design. I am a 30 something from Ventura, California.

Since I was a little girl, I have always had an interest in being creative. I also had an interest in the technology that was evolving around me. As I got older and began focusing on my future, my career path was easily chosen: Graphic Design. It was the best mixture of my two interests...I could use the latest and greatest design software and computer technology all while exploring the usage of patterns, color schemes, and fonts. Therefore, I was accepted into California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) in 2005 for the Bachelor program for Studio Arts, and the Certificate program emphasizing on Digital Media Arts. I graduated from CSUCI in May 2009 with my BA and Certificate.

Flash forward to 2012 when I opened up my Etsy shop in June of that year: After seeing one of my friends on Facebook posting photos of jewelry she began selling on the website, I researched the site to see exactly what it was about. I found Etsy to be a great source to showcase my designs. But what was I going to sell?

After some thought, I chose to begin with wedding invitations. I chose this to start for the fact that we were in a recession, and money was tight. The wedding industry is an expensive one; from the dress, the flowers, the venue, the catering, and everything in between. So I wanted to be able to help couples who were on a tight budget, and offer professional invitation design without going to an overly expensive design firm.

Foor Eyes Design is one step above other design shops on Etsy: The printing industry requires digital files to contain certain print markings, and Foor Eyes Design will make sure your files contain those. Other shops may also offer their files to print, but do they have the knowledge and experience of working in the print industry?
