Hello and Welcome! Our work at Forage Workshop is inspired by our great love of nature and spending time in the great outdoors. We make handmade home goods and accessories from wood that is found and foraged. Many of the other materials we use have been either found in nature or recycled or repurposed from used materials. Conservation and appreciation for nature are our biggest passions. A portion of every sale is donated to the National Forest Foundation for planting trees in our National Forests. Thanks for stopping by the shop! ~ Amy

Forage for happiness!

Nature, especially trees, are the inspiration for most of my work. I am in love with the sights, sounds and smells of the outdoors. I am very eco conscious, and the practices of my shop are as green as I can make them. I am a self taught pyrographer and to me it seems more than natural to embellish my wood slices with images of trees and the forest friends that live among them. Although my romantic trees are decorated with "carved" initials and hearts, it totally crushes me when I see it done out in nature. I would much rather create one for you to take with you and have that beautiful tree left alone!

As much as I can, I get out and enjoy the outdoors. I am lucky to have a partner in crime who enjoys it as much as I do. We both love visiting National Parks and photographing them. (Hubs is a professional photographer and I have my BFA in photography) The pictures on this page are a small sampling of our adventures. I also volunteer at Morristown National Historic Park. It is really fulfilling and a thrill to be a part of. On my Instagram and Facebook page you can follow along with some of my adventures as well as get coupon codes and enter giveaways!

Thank you for visiting my page and being a part our adventure!

~ Amy

Welcome to Forage! We are passionate about making our goods out of all natural and/or repurposed items. All of our wood comes from fallen tree limbs. Our vintage fabrics and blocks are found at estate sales and flea markets. Many of our sachet fillers are grown right here in our garden! We want to celebrate nature and have as little impact on the environment as possible.

Additional policies and FAQs

All of our wood is foraged, nothing is cut from a living tree. This means we cannot guarantee a certain type of wood, it may be different than what is in the photo. The designs are all burned freehand, which means they are not going to be identical to what is in the photo either, but they will be close! We think imperfection and individuality are beautiful things! We hope you agree.
If you are concerned about what your wood will look like, please email us before, or just after ordering and we can send you a photo before we start to work on your purchase.
