About FoxyBritVintage

Sales 3,400
On Etsy since 2010

I have totally fallen in love with vintage and have been selling since 2010!!

Foxy Brit Vintage cordially invites you to browse this fine curated vintage & antique online boutique shop. Each item in my shop is hand selected after sometimes hours of searching as for a hidden treasure. These vintage treasures were at sometime in the past set aside or tossed away as something of little value, but my aspiration is to bring them back to life, each one a piece of history that could tell it's own story if it could speak. What stories could be told in each item of priceless value, stories of love and romance, first dates and proms, a tea party, a wedding or with tears a young bride waving goodbye with her scarf to her husband going to war. When you purchase vintage you are also purchasing a history storyline and now you can make the story continue on with each lovely vintage item.

Some of my vintage treasures have gone on to make a sensational stories. One of my hats was bought to use in Disney Theatricals in London. Many of my vintage gloves, hats and apparel were bought to use on set in the T.V. Series Vegas. A set of lovely 1950s apparel was bought by a Mad Men actress to be part of the wardrobe.

Whether a vintage treasure goes on to be famous and filmed or steals a place in your heart and carries on its story with love and romance, tea parties and weddings in your life is up to you to decide.

All I ask is that you value each lovely vintage and antique item. Most of my items in Foxy Brit Vintage are from the 1940s to 1970s. I also have a few items from the 1920s and 1930s. The 1980s makes up the rest, but all are very special! Enjoy your browse!

Welcome to my vintage shop! I love vintage clothing and accessories, especially vintage hats!! I focus on 1960s and earlier clothing and accessories because that is my passion, but I also sale some 70s-90s apparel and accessories.

I also like the idea of going green and doing my part to save the environment.

*** Carefully select and measure--- as all sales are considered final. I do not take returns.

To make sure your item will fit you well, please read the vintage sizing information below and double-check and compare the listing size and measurements with your own size and measurements to get the best fit. If you are unsure and have a question about the size or appearance of an item, CONTACT Me before you purchase and I will gladly send you more pictures or take additional measurements or pictures. It is important to me that you love ♥ your purchase!

Notice--vintage clothing fits differently than nowadays clothing, vintage clothing is fitted much closer to the body. It is important that you allow enough room to move comfortably while wearing your vintage garment. Vintage clothing and accessories should always be worn with care and consideration of their age. Vintage garments were often tailored to fit a particular woman and evidence of seams and darts being taken in or out is quite common. It is often possible to have a vintage garment altered to fit you likewise, if your measurements are off by just a bit. I am happy to answer any questions you may have about possible seam allowances, darts, and hem allowances before you purchase.
I try to work with my customers if questions are asked to get proper sizing as to insure proper fit. I also try my hardest to give proper measurements and accurate descriptions of items on the listing. Please contact me first before you purchase with any questions on measurements or other concerns or details. I always try to work with my customers if questions are asked to double check for proper sizing as to insure the best fit.

***To take your measurements
It is best to use a dressmaker’s measuring tape. Measure yourself with no other clothing accept for bra and underwear.

BUST: Measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.

BELOW BUST: Measure around the fullest part of your ribcage, just under your bust.

WAIST: Measure around the smallest part of your waist where it naturally curves in.

HIPS: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, which is usually about 8"-9" below your waist.

BACK WIDTH: Measure a garment that fits you well--across the back of the garment at the top of the shoulders between the arm seams--remember there may be a little give or take.

SHOULDER TO WAIST: Measure from the top of your shoulder, where a normal shoulder seam would lie, down the front, following the curve of your bust.

FULL LENGTH: Measure from the top of your shoulder, where a normal shoulder seam would lie, down the front, to the point you want the garment to end at the hem.

I accept Paypal, Visa and MasterCard and gift cards.

If I put an item on RESERVE with your name remember that it does not necessarily keep it for you. Someone else can buy it. I am too busy of a shop to try to turn all of those purchases around. So the best method to insure you will get the item/items is to purchase it/them as soon as you are able.
I generally will not reserve an item for more than a week, accept under certain situations that I work out with the customer.

I accept lay-aways for items over $70 on an individual basis, of which we work out a payment plan. If you default with the payment and do not finish the payment plan the paid amount is non-refundable.
In the USA I ship First Class if an item is 16 oz. or under, any weight above 16oz I always send Priority Mail. Tracking is always added to my shipments by USPS. Priority Mail usually takes 2-3 days to receive your order after I ship it. First Class usually takes 2-5 days. If an item is $150 or more I usually add insurance.

International orders I always send First Class, which is the lowest and more affordable rate. An International shipment over 4 pounds must ship Priority Mail. Allow 2-4 weeks for First Class international shipping. Priority Mail International usually takes 6 to 10 business days.

I do not refund for lost items in the mail.

I usually ship orders out in 1-3 business days--unless I am away from my shop and traveling at the time of the order than it could be a few more business days than stated. I always have a shop announcement when I am away from my shop for a couple of days and will also notify you when you order an item.

***NOTICE It is your responsibility to make sure that a real fur item is allowed in to your country and if some furs are allowed and not others before you order. As it is hard for me to find out regulations on each country. If a fur is rejected and sent back because customs does not allow it I will not return shipping on that item. I will give you a refund on the fur itself.

I also am not responsible for international customs fees, taxes, tariffs and duties charges. Please check your country's import regulations and costs. This is the purchasers responsibility.
Additional policies and FAQs
I rate my items accordingly:
Vintage excellent-- no flaws or tiny faint mild flaws and looks almost new
Vintage great or fabulous--The usual wear of its age with possibly tiny barely noticeable vintage expected wear and/or vintage patina--and either no flaws or minor noted flaws
Vintage good--overal structure is good but has one or some flaws that are noted, mostly these would be small or minor because I avoid buying items that have any major flaws.

I search all my items at least 3 times for any defects and always try to note them on my listing. If I have missed something please contact before leaving a negative review because I always want my customers to be satisfied.
