I have long admired this necklace and have been wanting it for ages! Now that I have it finally, I am so happy! It is beautiful! This shop makes quality work! The owner was very hospitable and helpful, working with me to get the best product. She was very prompt and friendly and I enjoyed purchasing from her! My necklace also arrived in a cute box! I would highly recommend this shop!

Love it!!! Unique and great to wear! The craftsmanship that went into creating this necklace was well done! And a personal note from the owner, Carrie, and the care that went to the package itself, made this necklace all the more awesome! Thank you!

Destined to Create

Hi! I'm Carrie and I'm the Owner/Maker behind Fragile Elite Design. I was raised on a diet of literature,Goth,Heavy Metal, Punk, Glam and Rock music, Sci-Fi, Sherlock Holmes and Hammer Films so finding inspiration is never a problem. I’ve sang in Goth, Rock and Punk bands, acted in musicals and loved every single minute of it. I used to customise my own clothes and jewellery for gigs. After my last band split up – that was when my jewellery making really took off as that creative energy needed some place to go.

The wide variety of life experiences I have had – the good, the bad and the sometimes plain ugly have had a direct impact on my own personal jewellery making style. I have no interest in being a purist and making only one style of jewellery as I would find that incredibly limiting and I love getting ridiculously excited about a new idea that is completely different to the last thing I made. I am very happy being labelled with the “eclectic” tag.

I don’t believe in following trends as trends run their course, although I have been very fortunate as Sherlock and Elementary became so huge it has enabled me to share my love of Sherlock Holmes with both old and new audiences of the stories.

I love to produce unique pieces of jewellery as well as putting my own personal slant on classic and vintage favourites and if I stumble across some great trinkets on my virtual travels - I have to share. My quality control is very strict and I use lead and nickel free components. Each piece of my jewellery is designed and made to last and give years of wear. I use a variety of finishes in my jewellery utilising whichever finish is the most suitable for that particular piece. I use hand glazing techniques and resin to create lightweight or 3 dimensional pieces, and glass when weight isn't an issue.

Jewellery making is my absolute passion and this business I have created from scratch means the world to me. I owe a lot to all the buyers and supporters of Fragile Elite Design and am very lucky to have found myself a small niche frequented by some fabulous like minded people. My love of jewellery making never wanes, I strive for as perfect a finish as is humanly possible as this is my work and my passion and I appreciate every single buyer - I want each and every customer to love whatever they have bought from me.

I look forward to the future of Fragile Elite Design with excitement, I still feel like I’m at the beginning of my journey and who knows what will happen next.

Many thanks for reading my ramblings and have a most excellent day.

*****UK Buyers:***** Postage is by 1st Class mail and Recorded delivery is available in the drop down menu at checkout.

**** International Buyers **** International orders are all posted via standard Air mail without delivery confirmation or tracking, this service helps to keep costs down for you and to date I have found this service to be very reliable. If you are in a rush for your order i.e. you have a deadline please bear in mind the timescales given for delivery and that I am unable to personally guarantee delivery by a certain date by standard air mail. Within the EU estimated delivery by Royal Mail is 5-10 full working days (excluding weekends) and all other countries 7-10 full working days (excluding weekends), however please bear in mind that delivery times can be affected by customs procedures/any increase in security checks/severe weather conditions/Christmas and postal services in your own country. Royal Mail recommend allowing up to 4 weeks for delivery. ***If you do want signed for and tracking upgrade this option is available for selection from the drop down box on the Shipping and policies page.

**I would appreciate it very much if all buyers would please bear the above in mind and wait until 28 full working days have passed before contacting me about non receipt of an order to give it the fullest opportunity to arrive, as i am unable to do anything until that time period has elapsed unless a trackable method has been requested and paid for.**

Lost/Missing Parcels
I do take full responsibility for lost/missing parcels, it is very rare that a parcel goes missing and I will do everything possible to make sure you receive your order. Our Royal Mail won't consider an item lost until 28 full working days (excluding bank holidays and weekends) have passed so i am unable to begin the claims procedures for lost/missing parcels until after that period of time, and will be unable to refund or replace until the parcel has had 28 full working days to arrive. After the 28 period has passed you will be offered a full refund or a replacement. However, please be patient it is very rare for parcels to be lost.

You are responsible for all import fees, duties, taxes, etc. and this is not included in my prices. Please make allowances for this before you purchase. I will not illegally mark your package as a "gift" to try and get around this, so please don't ask. I run my business as I do my life, with honesty and integrity.

If an item gets left in customs and is not picked up and is returned to me, your order will be cancelled and the item cost refunded to you less shipping, packaging that cannot be reused, and any fees that I won't get refunded. " I don't like to waste paper so I don't include an invoice with your package, your package will include your order and a thank you note. If you want do want a receipt they can be printed very easily off Etsy.

I always keep my policies updated with any details that may affect shipping to a particular country. I believe keeping my customers as informed as possible to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings or disappointments with regards to delivery times. I only want happy customers and will do my utmost to help where I can x
Refunds and Exchanges
Great care is taken to ensure customer satisfaction & Fragile Elite Design complies with EU Distance Selling Regulations. Buyers have the right to return within 14 days of receiving your order. Once your order is received by me you will be issued a refund, however you will be responsible for the cost of returning your order to me and I would always recommend that you obtain proof of posting.

Please note however that customised orders are exempt from the above rules and may not be returned or refunded.

Below is a link to a cancellation form that you can (but are not obliged to) use if you change your mind and wish to return a product.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please don't contact me to ask for free samples of jewellery for giveaways for your own blogs or your own charity auctions - I hold my own charity auctions that support Marie Curie, RSPB and the RSPCA.

**Wholesale enquiries** Before making an enquiry please bear in mind that a number of my pieces are one offs depending on the components used so I am unable to repeat certain items. I try to keep my prices as keen as possible for my online buyers as they are the mainstay of my business and are very important to me.

If you do want to order more than 5 of one item that I am able to reproduce, I will be able to do discounts on that basis. When making wholesale inquiries please provide links to the items that you are interested in and confirm how many you are interested in buying so i can give you a quick and accurate price.

I don't do sale or return, sorry x

For info I have a separate buying id on Etsy which is here:
