O mundo sempre me fascinou. A beleza de um nascer do sol matinal, a grama fresca limpa após uma chuva de verão, a simplicidade de uma sombra, a forma como a luz beija os telhados, ou as cores dentro de uma gota de chuva, basta olhar ao seu redor, a beleza é avassaladora.
Toda a minha vida me senti compelido a copiar a beleza do mundo no papel, ou qualquer material que eu tivesse disponível na época. Eu vi arte em quase tudo, um tronco era um jacaré, uma pedra uma tartaruga perfeita, com apenas alguns traços de tinta que eu poderia conseguir isso.
Alguns anos atrás meu marido me deu uma câmera para o Natal. Descobri que podia capturar imagens instantaneamente com a câmera. Percebi que com um pouco de manipulação eu poderia criar arte, e me apaixonei pela fotografia.
Desde então, aprendi muito sobre arte digital, mas ainda tenho muito mais a aprender. Com o uso da câmera, óleos, filtros, e às vezes as combinações de todos para alcançar a imagem que eu estou indo para.
Eu amo meu estado natal de Kentucky, a velha e magnífica arquitetura com seu caráter, patinas, cores e texturas, isso me tira o fôlego. No ano passado criei minha cidade natal (Winchester, Kentucky), com várias fotos, juntas em uma composição agradável e romancing-lo um pouco, fiquei feliz com o resultado. Removi todos os fios, placas de comerciante, carros, pessoas, (eu chamo isso de romancing da cidade) nunca removendo uma bandeira ou cruz, deixando apenas a arquitetura.
Isso foi tão divertido e um sucesso tão grande que outras pessoas começaram a me pedir para fazer sua cidade. O presidente do Festival do Cavalo em Georgetown me pediu para fazer Georgetown para os Jogos Mundiais de Hipismo, (que honra).
Neste momento eu completei trinta paisagens urbanas de Pequenas Cidades de Kentucky. Meu objetivo a longo prazo é fazer todos os 120 condados de Kentucky. Atualmente estou trabalhando em Paris. Acredito que posso completar 24 por ano, ou seja, se os preços da gasolina ficarem onde estão agora, (muitas viagens envolvidas).
Como Disse Napoleão Hills (o que a mente pode conceber e acreditar que pode alcançar.

The world has always fascinated me. The beauty of a morning sunrise, the clean fresh grass after a summer rain, the simplicity of a shadow, the way light kisses the roof tops, or the colors inside a raindrop, just look around you , the beauty is overwhelming.
All my life I felt compelled to copy the world’s beauty on paper, or whatever materials I had available at the time. I saw art in almost everything, a log was an alligator, a stone a perfect little turtle, with only a few strokes of paint I could achieve that.
A few years ago my husband gave me a camera for Christmas. I discovered I could capture images instantly with the camera. I realized with just a little manipulation I could create art, and fell in love with photography.
Since then I’ve learned quite a lot about digital art, but still have so much more to learn. With the use of the camera, oils, filters, and sometimes the combinations of all to achieve the image I’m going for.
I love my home state of Kentucky, the old and magnificent architecture with its character, patinas, colors and textures, it takes my breath away. Last year I created my home town (Winchester, Kentucky) cityscape, with several snapshots, put together in a pleasing composition and romancing it a bit, I was happy with the outcome. I removed all the wires, merchant signs, cars, people, (I call this romancing the city) never removing a flag or cross, leaving only the architecture.
This was so much fun and such a hit that other people began asking me to do their city. The chairperson of the Festival of the Horse in Georgetown asked me to do Georgetown for the World Equestrian Games, (what an Honor).
At this time I have completed thirty cityscapes of Kentucky’s Small Towns. My long term goal is to do all 120 counties of Kentucky. Currently I’m working on Paris. I believe I can complete 24 per year, that is if gas prices stay where they are now, (lots of traveling involved).
Like Napoleon Hills said (Whatever the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve.
