About

In my bright yellow studio with plenty of light.
I love traveling to new places. These are the places I want to go next.
I've loved drawing since I was little.
I went on the most inspiring road trip to the Southwest with my artist pals (I'm in the Blackbird Tees moon shirt).

Art, Custom Portraits, Prints and More

Hi! I'm Frances Marin. I love dreaming up imagery around daily familiarities, dreams, nature, mystery, memory and humor in my work. Dwellings, the natural world and people are found. I'm heavily influenced by my surroundings in the diverse state of California.

My Costa Rican and Australian background along with growing up exploring the West Coast have provided me with a deep love of nature. I grew up wandering the Santa Cruz Mountains and extensively camping the West Coast. I live and work in San Jose, CA.

When you order from my shop, I often deliver your package to the post office by bicycle.

I love creating custom work for my customers. Painting the people and pets they love is most definitely a happy job to have. If you would like a unique artwork or design, please contact me and we can discuss.

Being a part of Etsy has afforded me many awesome opportunities, from shipping art as far as South Africa and Belgium to being a part of a West Elm Pop-up Shop in Emeryville, CA and now as a Craft Entrepreneurship teacher.

Returns and exchanges
I want you to be very happy with your order. If you would like to return your order, you may do so if there has been an error on my part describing an item or if I packaged something incorrectly and there has been damage. Please contact me immediately and request a return within 7 days of receipt of your item. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to message me.
Payment
PayPal and credit cards are my accepted method of payment. Payment is due in full prior to shipping. If you would like !to arrange a payment plan please send me a message prior to ordering.
Shipping
I want you to feel confident that your purchase will arrive safely. First off, I will use your Etsy shipping address to mail all purchases, so please be sure you are using your updated address in your settings.

Work on paper arrives safely in a protective sleeve with sturdy backing, while work on wood arrives carefully wrapped, boxed and ready to hang.

I ship within 1-4 days of purchase, with the exception of custom work. I use recycled and biodegradable shipping and packaging materials when I can. Art is sent with delivery confirmation, tracking and insurance within the states.

All international orders are sent first class. Please note that tracking on international orders is not offered. Please message me prior to purchase for international insurance or to express mail your order.
