This gift is described by the recipient as lovely and beautifully made. A nice weight that will be very much enjoyed in their kitchen. Thank you, Beth.

About

Over and Under One Thread at a Time

When weaving first entered my life, I was smitten. It was many moons ago, first semester of my freshman year in college. My profile photo shows me on a recent “returning to my roots” visit, standing at the doors of the building where it all started. Since then, my love for weaving has grown and I’ve acquired lots and lots of weaving paraphernalia.

I decided it was time to share my weaving with the world. That’s when I discovered Etsy. It’s the perfect venue for me. I’m not a production weaver and I knew I couldn’t keep up with the demands of a brick and mortar gallery. I like to take my time from the planning stage to the finished piece. Detail…I love detail. This takes time and patience. It makes a great piece even better. Take a close look at my work and you’ll see the detail.

Notice that my shop includes various weaving. Not all towels or table linens. I get bored doing the same thing over and over and like to change things up every once in a while. It keeps my creative juices flowing. I’m always into something whether it’s weaving, sewing, handwork, gardening, cooking, or baking. Busy hands make for good things.

Recently, I have had several articles published in Handwoven Magazine. Out of some very stiff competition, my table runner (shown above) won "Best Table Linen" in their annual weaving challenge. I will be floating on cloud-nine over this good fortune for a very long time.

I am a one-person shop. I’m the owner, curator, creator, weaver, hand-finisher, photographer, packer, shipper…I do it all.

Thank you for visiting my shop and taking the time to read a little bit about my passion and me.

Since childhood I’ve enjoyed crafting, sewing, and creating. Weaving entered my life during my college days. It’s a passion. I work alone in my studio from the planning stage through the finished piece. Instagram @bethweaves
