Announcement   Animal art, botanicals, natural art. For the collector that is drawn to the divine spirit embodied in all things alive. Giraffes are my faves, I donate a portion of my proceeds to the Giraffe Conservancy Foundation.

Send a handmade greeting, or frame and enliven your own space. My prints are all archival fine art giclee, meant to last more than a lifetime. I use hand-overpainting with pearlescent paint and sparkles on selected cards.

Don't hesitate to ask if you see something you'd like in another size. I might not always be able to do it, but I will certainly try, and work with you if the dimensions need to be adjusted.

Please contact me if interested in licensing my work, illustration projects or wholesale.

This is wonderful in my grandson's room. I like it so much I plan to buy more of Pat's work. Hmmm, now I have to decide what to get first and what next. Great variety to choose from and the artwork is so well done. My item was packed very well for shipping and arrived in a timely manner. Thanks, Pat!

About

Giraffes, wildlife flora and fauna paintings and drawings

As long as I can remember I have been an image collector. Growing up an hour from New York City, my teachers arranged trips for us to the great museums there. I collected postcards to remind me of the wonders of the world. Each individual image spoke to my heart; I associated sentiments of life’s little crossroads with the remarkable pictures on the cards.

The Museum of Natural History in NY is one of my favorite museums in the world, especially the dinosaur exhibits. They're real evidence of animals of fantastic scale and gravity-defying power. To me, giraffes are part of that heritage that still exists in our lifetime. As mammals, I’m amazed by the similarities of their structure, their social habits and how they live. So I pair a statement with each giraffe painting called, “About Giraffes;” something of the nature of these elegant creatures.

I love it that Etsy is a grass roots movement that dovetails with my desire to touch hearts and lives in a lasting way. Every painting or drawing is a venue to explore artistic challenges, while at the same time presenting an opportunity to make a connection with others, more often than not resonating with something of value common to each of us. My drawings of whimsical little frogs, leaping about, speak of change, success, accomplishment, transformation, and the overcoming of life’s obstacles. The Bunnies embody lively energy as well, and yet, at the same time, remain remarkably soft and cuddly. Zoom- zoom. I can feel the exuberance within them, running and leaping, the promise of continuity, of abundance, and of family. Even a pretty flower card is a hand drawn handmade expression of the lyrical lines of beauty in nature.

I have a dedicated home studio that provides a retreat for me to reflect, dream, and muse on the marvels around me . . . . . and their potential for significant and permanent influence. Etsy encourages artists to speak with a voice of their own, and enables all of us an opportunity to return to the groundedness of handmade. As our marketplace grows, I believe it's effecting real, and lasting, social and economic change.

Card sets, giclee prints and jewelry from my paintings of animals in gestures of passions of life that we all share. Giraffes dancing, roller skating, swing dancing and in hugs. Rabbits leaping and also sitting very still, listening, reflecting.
